Gladiator Vs 300 (+Poll and Pics)

Gladiator, one of the best epic movie of all time, Oscar award winning along with many many other awards. Crowe, Phoenix and some old screen legends. Gory battles, large and small scale battles and great award winning acting all round.

300, Some of the goriest battle scenes ever, Great peformances which will probably launch some careers further, Huge battles and unbeleivable atmosphere and sound.

So which is it

I would not say its the top 5 of this decade an 300 had way better fight scenes.

I would not say its the top 5 of this decade an 300 had way better fight scenes.

I over all really hated gladiator it did not deliver what I wanted form its battle scenes were pretty much the trailors they showed for it and the realy I thought was dumb sorry but I don;t think it was even close to be calling it an epic.

No I look at other things I just thought its not good at all really like people make it out to be.

And its wrong to put these two together the 300 main things is supposed to be its fight scenes unlike gladiator which they focus on other things.

Plus 300 is focues on its fighting scene not really on the plot back at sparta they were really going for the whole fighting  tihng unlike gladiator so I don't think it's right to compare the two.

My hat goes to Gladiator. 300 was a great movie but its only technically 40min along (2/3 of the movie is slo mo lol)...look at it this way. Gladiator is Half Life...300 is Gears of War....both great...ones a timeless classicLegacyoftain

Wow, that's actually a pretty nice connection. I felty the same way, in fact, I'm amazed that a movie made 7 years later (think it's around there) still can't beat Gladiator's action scenes, or it's direction. Better script for Gladiator as well.

What the hell!? A movie is supposed to tell a story. Action is something that moves the story along, and can be part of it. If you're not looking for a story in your films, you might as well just watch music vidoes all day.
