I usually wear contacts 90% of the timr during the week. I only put my glasses on at night or when its a slow morning. I do like glasses better because theres no uncomfortable feelings ; contacts ocasionally get dry or one small fuzzy its like one giant one in your eye. But ya mostly contacts : /

If he's been wearing glasses all his life then contacts, or no glasses, might make him look weird.

People are used to seeing my with glasses.

For instance, today, i look odd because everyone is used to seeing me with glasses. :/

Hope that clears up any confusion.

I have glasses but I dislike wearing them and I basically only need them for night driving, other wise I see fine without them. I think when I get to the point where I actually need to wear glasses to function properly I will just use contacts.

Contacts for sports and whenever I'm doing anything physical, glasses for everything else. Overall though, glasses because they give the illusion that 'm more intelligent than I actually am :o

That's the only disadvantage of them IMO..But that's a pretty big disadvantage, especially in the morning, or at night, when your tired and they refuse to stay in/come off :x

I've been wearing glasses for 13 years. While it can be a nuisance having to wear them at times, I am used to it. Besides, I look 500x worse without them. I don't think I'll ever get contacts.

If you think for one second that I'm going to put little slivers of wet plastic in my eyes, you're nuts. I'd rather be unable to read the E than wear contacts, I really would.

I prefer glasses, especially on girls. So sexy!

contacts, while more expensive over the long term, are better in almost every way

i wore glasses up until four years ago, im 19, so till i was 15 i wore glasses, while playing FOOTBALL

contacts are just the way to go, other than Lasic

I literally got contacts for the first time yesterday. It takes me forever to put them in and take them out. They're still irritating as hell. For now, I prefer glasses. My opinion will, hopefully, change in a couple weeks.

It will...the first time I got them. I was standing in the store for 20 minutes trying to put it on. I felt so bad for the lady waiting. Keep practicing and you will be a pro...

I agree. When I first attempted contacts, it got so bad that the lady told me to hurry up or you'll stick to glasses lol.

Now it's just a normal daily thing.

Trust me when I say you'll get used to them, it's very awkward for the first couple of times but then it becomes second nature. It takes me a few seconds to put mine in now.

Contacts. Once you wear contacts for a while, you just can't go back to glasses. One of the main benefits I see (no pun intended) with contacts is that they extend to your peripheral vision. This is really advantageous for sports and gaming IMO. Also they don't clunk up and down when playing sports. Before I had to wear contacts full time, I would wear glasses when I played sports, drove, and watched TV. I play hockey, so the glasses were constantly getting bumped around and sometimes would fall in awkward positions so I couldn't see. Plus, I am told I have amazing eyes, and glasses take away from that. I have barely any issues with taking them off/putting them on and comfort. My eyes are perfect for contacts. When I'm putting them on, I barely even have to open my eyelid. I can do it with one finger. Taking them off for me is just a light pinch and they basically fall off into my hands. I understand I'm one of the lucky ones ;). They only get uncomfortable after a long time with little sleep. I wear them 19 hours a day and they are almost always fine (I do have special ones for long wear). Also, placing a piece of plastic dripping with solution in your eye actually helps wake you up in the morning hah.

I don't trust myself enough to use them without poking my eye out. Plus I look better with glasses, anyway, so meh. =P

Good to hear. My optometrist scheduled an hour session to teach me how to put them in a take them out. It took me the full hour to do both. I did slightly better today with about 40 minutes combined. I had no idea eye lid muscles were so strong.

At least you weren't as bad as me. I tried for a month straight at home, and couldn't get the damn things in. But once the doctor did it, it was fairly easy afterwords.

I like wearing my glasses. People have said they suit me.
Plus contacts aren't very healthy for the eyes, if worn for long periods of time. Which I would do, because I'm lazy.
