Glasses/contact wearers. How bad is your vision?

Mines not too bad.

My right eye is - 1.75 and my left is -2.25

I used to have a friend who was -7 in one eye and - 6.5 in the other.

-4.75 left, -5.25 right

I use -4.50 on both eyes

Yea I can see stuff fine. I mean, I can drive my car without glasses fine. I won't be able to read signs so don't blame me if I'm going 100 in a 45, but I can see cars and streets and pedestrians just fine.

I too hate contacts. They just don't sit right with me.

Methinks you've weren't using them correctly.

When I was fitted for them they got me the wrong curvature (or something), so the contacts were basically pinching my eyes. Apologies weren't enough to get me to try another pair, so I got my money back and moved on. That was a while back, though.
