Though not just because its considered girly or whatever.. I legitimately gave it a chance and I can't stand it.. It is insanely preachy, has horribly written story lines that don't make any sense what so ever, plots that go absolutely nowhere, characters that are just flat out brain dead...And so on
Honestly, the only reason the show exists is to get high school kids to sing covers of pop songs.. Its like Mystery Science Theater 3000 if they took the stuff outside of making fun of the movies seriously... Its exaggerated fluff.. Its an hour long pretenious music video. I hate it.
I liked it at first, but then it seemed like they started making the homosexual characters the focus. I just felt like they were trying to shove that theme down our throats. That's when I quit watching it. I don't turn on primetime TV to get a show with any agenda. If I want that I'll watch the news. So, to answer TC's question... no, I'm not excited in the least bit. I'll stick with The Big Bang and CSI. Parenthood is a pretty good show too.
I'd rather hit myself in the nuts with a rubber mallet than watch Glee. That's not to say the show never had potential, because that would be a lie - the first half season (or so) wasn't terrible. Everything since then has been, however. I don't expect the third season to be any better.
I honestly enjoyed the storyline in the first season, but the second season was just too ridiculous for me. I still watch the show mainly for the music though. It's not the greatest thing ever, but it's entertaining enough lol.
