I would just like to know what some of you guys and girls think about Glenn Beck?

Personally i like him, i may not agree with all his views but he is def. one of the better people fox has compared to O'rielly and the others. Sure he may put down Obama a lot but he also puts down Bush like no other.

Anyways i just wanted to see what you guys think about him, im not gonna argue with any of you as it is your opinion.

He's both unintentionally hilarious and entertaining to watch, so he gets my seal of approval.

I will say the man does make some excellent points when he doesn't sound like a raving lunatic.

It's all in the way he presents himself. He gets passionate about what he preaches and then he gets a little...frightening. Some of what he says is true, I do believe that our government needs a reality check. The way our country is going and the way our government is handling it, to me, is down right repulsive. I hate to say it, but we need more people like him, saying what needs to be said and living with it.

I remember watching his show once and about 50% of people know where the Bill of Rights is found and about 81% of people took a quote said by Karl Marx (father of communism) and said it was spoken by either George Washington or Barack Obama. That is sad fact, that we as a nation do not know our own history! If we don't know our roots, we can't defend them and what is being attacked.

well the thing i dont seem to understand is if anybody actually watched any of these shows, which i believe a lot of left minded people do not. Beck and even O'rielly have always put down bush. When i see people say that they are spouting evil i dont get it? Beck from what i have personally seen and i have seen a lot due to my dad, he has always put down bush. Hell Michael Savage one of the most insane conservatives i know, and frankly cant stand, put down bush for his whole two terms.

i totally agree with you, that is one of the reason i can stand him, sure he is passionate and does get a little to passionate for his own good, but yes many people dont know our history. Its surprising to see how many people get these easy questions wrong.

Because they have majority in the government (FOR NOW) and they don't want people listening to conflicting ideas. That is bad for buisness.

Sad truth is that It actually seems like a possibility now. Before, all that 1984 stuff to me was like the Mayans predicting 2012. Now, the government is sticking their hands into evenything that pops outta the ground and taxing it, debating it or calling it a threat to the people. I don't know what to believe anymore.

People need to stand up and say "WHAT THE HELL DOYOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, D.C?" They are taking the U.S. in their own hands and I don't like it.

I'm a pretty neutral person, as far as politics go. So I don't have a partisan reason for disliking him. However, he does say alot of stupid stuff, and screams at people he disagrees with. All in all i just think he's a jackass. Also, he implies that John D. Rockefeller, one of the most infamous monopolists in american history,is a communist.

My general opinion of him is he's a jackass.

This. And, a movement to have advertisers not advertise during his show is not the same as censorship. It's also completly legal (you can say whatever you want, I can criticize whatever you say.) To the second guy (RazerBlade) from memory, the goverment didn't do anything about this, so why did you bring them into this?

I like watching him because his show is different from all the other news shows. To me that's what makes him so popular, his style is different from people like Chris Mathews,O'Reilly, Olberman, and others. I want something different every now and then when watching the news. Even if he can be wrong sometimes, that's why i like him.

I disagree with the vast majority of his views, find his delivery and the respect he shows others deplorable, and truly believe the man would do great harm to others if he had the chance to push his own agenda by doing so. I dont wish him dead, but I dont wish him well.

I think he's just another experiment by Fox news to see how far they can go off the deep end. I don't think Beck even believes most of the BS he spreads. He's just an actor there to make Rupert Murdoch tons of money by spreading fear to the masses of morons who take Fox News seriously.

They're not conflicting ideas though; virtually nothing he says has a factual basis. Remember his 'america is heading for communism' piece? What an absolute load of crap.

I haven't watched much of him, but what I've seen through clips on The Daily Show and on YouTube, I don't like. I like how he did a complete reversal on health care reform. Once, when he was sick during his tenure at CNN, he was all for it, and then later when he was hired by Fox News, he was completely against reform. He also had another clip that blamed a crime committed on people who did not put their trust in God, although it was unspecified whether or not the perpetrators were Christians or not. As an atheist, I really think that's not the most rational way to get people to come to their senses. I think emphasizing everyone's right to life would be better, since it pertains to all people regardless of their religious beliefs (unless their religious beliefs go against the right to life like some principles of Christianity depending on your interpretation of it, but ultimately, we need to show those people that they need to reject those beliefs and interpretations for a more favorable tone). Otherwise else, I have nothing against Glenn Beck, but it's hard to take him seriously sometimes.
