This is a question for everyone, whether your religious or not. Think of it as a thought experiment.

Based on the common ideal of God, what kind of social economic system would he be in favor of? Capitalism, communism, socialism, feudalism, some kind of hybrid, etc? Give a reason of why you think that.

Also if your concept of God is different from the common opinion then add that as well.

A form of Communism if the world were perfect, but since it's not, I'd have to say a form of capitalism where people would be responsible with what they have.

I consider god to be more of a force or a system than a metaphysical entity. I mean, the word "god" is derived from the word "good", just like "devil" comes from "evil." I think of it more of as a way for humans to live, or a goal to strive by, for complete peace and enlightenment.

That said...I would say somewhere along the lines of a socialism/capitalism mix. Lots of programs to help the needy, protect the earth, etc., but open enough to allow people to follow their dreams and ambitions and create the life they want.

Money would not exist

Some form of barter or good exchange would exist. And if you say that it wouldn't and that god would have us all share in the bounty of the earth then that sounds like a form of communism to me

People keep saying money wouldn't exist except for that fact that during the early times of humans money didn't exist... everything was straight up bartering and trading. Infact some societies in africa and in the Americas didn't even use money at the times of the slave trade and during the discovery of america.

They also did that to justify African slavery. You can pretty much make that book do whatever you want. There is fun for everyone - slave owners, capitalists, communists, socialists, Democrats, Republicans, etc.

But did those kings live forever? What if God starts doing things that you don't like, you can't just vote for a new absolute leader in three years.

Niether Monarchies nor dictatorships are economic systems, they are governmental systems. Many monarchs in the past had a feudalist economic system.

Its a mix of capitalism and socialism. I'm speaking as a religious Muslim here. The Islamic economical system is based on the following: 1-You can have as much money and properties as you can, but you must acquire it by Halal (in ways that are approved in Islam). 2-You must pay Zakah. Its an annual fee of all your money and properties that goes to the poor. In Islam its 2.5% of the total capital. 3-Islamic government must NOT take any form of taxes. 4-Interest is Haram(prohibited in Islam).

Your plan to have God as king is also flawed. He can't please everyone, therefore there would be some who wouldn't want his rule. Too bad for them though because he's there for all time

Economic systems are developed as a way to utilize limited resources. God has infinite resources, so he wouldn't need an economic system.

I think that the typical idea of God would be someone that is for people supporting eachother when they are in need (i.e. feeding the poor). At the same time, he would allow people to live the life they choose and not limit them in wealth. He would understand people should have the right to live how they want and wouldn't force any lifestyle upon anyone. It would be a free society where helping those that cannot help themselves is heavily promoted. It wouldn't be forced though.

Why would a Supreme Being care or even acknowledge money? It's a man made concept, AND it's the root of all evil, so I doubt God would have any interest in it.

Well, Jesus was a Socailist, and Jesus = God, so...

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?

Capitalism. In the parable of the talents the lord was pleased with the servants that worked to increase their talents, and displeased with the servant that didn't work and didn't increase his talents. If Jesus were a Commie, the parable would have ended with the lord taking all the talents away from the three servants and redistributing them equally between them.

Why would a creator of the universe be concerned with money or the money of others?
