Goku would win with literally almost no effort. It's a simple two-step process, really:

1. Use instant transmission to teleport Superman to a planet without a yellow sun (that's right. Without a yellow sun, Superman's a wimp).

2. Blast him.

Of course, to be fair, let's say Superman has a needle, Goku's worst fear. That would balance things out, although Goku can still overcome his fear. Superman can't overcome a lack of a yellow sun.

Your assuming that when Goku and Superman meets in battle Goku would somehow instantly know Superman's weaknesses. But anyways there is no way of really deciding who would win since they are so power. At the end it come down to someone opinion/Fanboys

I'd put my money on Broly from Dragon Ball Z. His power is maximum.

Yeah, that's why I gave Superman Needles. We could do this Cell-Games-Style, giving the combatants time to prepare. Then Goku would teleport Superman. :P.

I know this is an old thread but I google searched something to this effect because I wanted to put my two penneth into the debate.

Goku would win hands down and he wouldn't even need to be at SS4 to do it.

It follows this logic:-

Goku can destroy planets with his bare hands at his lower power levels, Superman cannot.

While Superman may be strong, he is not versed in combat where as Goku is recognised as a master of martial arts independent of his powers.

Superman is NOT indestructable as some people say, hence why Doomsday almost killed him.

Regardless of whether Goku knew about Superman's weaknesses, if you've watched enough Dragon Ball, often enough when the fights get truly epic the energies cause most light to fade and the skies to blacken and cloud over. So in the unlikely event Goku HAD to go that high in his power, he would probably cause Superman to weaken as an unintentional bi-product.

Finally, if you were to change this to "who would win between The Incredible Hulk and Goku" most people (who knew what they were talking about) would say Goku by a country mile. Superman and Hulk were quite evenly matched but Superman edged it in the DC Vs Marvel graphic novel. So if he only just beats Hulk he hasn't got a chance against Goku.

Capsule corp has time travel technology, Goku could just go back an intercept him. Besides, it took Superman enough energy to rewind time one day (and is that even considered a real power of his in the comics, not just a crappy film plot device?), never mind going back 40 years. Plus Goku wasn't born on earth so he couldn't find him anyway and would just walk into an army of Saiyans AND Frieza if he did.
