Depends on where you live.

If you can get Fios GET IT!

If not, your cable company will have the best internet.

Like the other poster said, FiOS if you can get it. Otherwise you're stuck with AT&T or Comcrap. In that case, I strongly recommend a VPN service as those two companies seem to take a special interest in their customers' internet activities.

Verizon FiOS is the best ISP, hands down.

I find it retarded that when they say 10 Mbps, they're actually saying Mbits/sec. Not Mbytes. Big difference. I hate that.

That's exactly what they mean.

Mbps=(MB/8s)

The Internet has always given me the impression that mb was megabyte, ex. "my hard drives got 500 mb total", "i got 32 mb ram". But, the international group setting the standard for this crap already changed the symbol 'b' to 'bit' for greater clarity, but some ISPs are using the old one (retarded).

Generally, Mb (lower case) is bit while MB is byte. On topic, Verizon FIOS is easily the best ISP in the US if you have access to it.

Try going for any cable based internet, even packages. These include AT&T U-verse, Verizon FiOS, Charter, Time Warner, Comcast etc. FiOS would be your best bet from most of the cable based internet companies.
