What country you live in?mmogoon
United States.
If you work at McDonalds, all the chicks will dig you. ;)killalln00bs
No thanks. Fast food workers get overworked and underpayed. Plus I hate Mcdonalds. Yuck.
I work at a place called paradise park, it's basically a really mini theme park. Pretty fun cause you get to stand out in the sun if you're monitoring the rock climb or go karts or putt putt, etctyler48843
Putt putt? I LOVED every single onw of those games. Owned them all!
Are you fourteen? McDonalds you go, and I will go as well.-Karmum-I already suggested McDonalds. Suggest a different low paying job instead.
I'm 15 and work at American Beverage making big bucket margaritas at $7.25 an hour and overtime gives me like $10.87 an hour. So far I've made almost $900 in 4 weeks. :PbitemeslippyHoly 225 a week
Male prostitute? :|
Everybody's answers so far were serious... I had to say something stupid.
And TFG, I didn't recognize you there for a second, until mmogoon brought up your name. Stop changing your avatars on me you people!
If your in good shape you could be a life guard thats only in the summer though but it pays well 10$ an hour I started wen i was 13! You will have to take a few classes in CPR and 1-3 lessons depending on how good at swimming you are but otherwise a good choice.
how old are you?
13+ (life guard aid) 5$ 4 hours a day
16+ (life guard) 10$ an hour where i work its 8-9 with an extra 250$ a month for working mornings.... really good pay.
I'm a Lifeguard. It's fairly easy, pays better than any fast food, or retail job, and you get to sit by the pool where the hawt girls are 8)
I believe you have to be at least sixteen in most states to be a lifeguard.

hey, its Baywatch! Save anyone's life yet Baywatch?
ya, and you get to hang out with the hot chicks i get paid most of the time for jest standing around since you only have to be in stands half an hour for every hour you work and you still get full pay.
Only bad thing you have to do is you gotta keep a good watch on everyone.....
Mowing yards or landscaping. It pays well, keeps you active, and keeps you tan if you're single and in the hunt for lady friends.

Not yet...I did give a couple of little girls bandages for cuts on their feet, and stopped a pretty mean nose bleed. :P
so far, I've only been in the water for training.
If you like free movies and schwag, work at a movie theater. I did. The only things I hated: Being pressured into letting your friends or your coworkers' friends in for free, having to walk into a dark theater to tell folks to quiet down, sticking around until midnight to finish closing up, telling people they can't bring outside drinks and food into the theater, smelling like popcorn for the rest of the day (I guess it's better than smelling like a chicken McNugget).

It's your first job so don't worry about wages and treatments.

i see. At least tell me that everything was in slow motion when you bandaged the cuts... and music started playing from nowhere...
I work at an engineering lab with my father. The lab that tests the stability of equipment and he gets customers with products from all around the globe. I think that's pretty good experience for me.
I'm more of an oddjob guy though. Right now, along with another close worker, I'm running diagonostic tests on accelerometers to make sure they still work and are good to test things with. There was this fifty year old one that still works. Pretty damn good for its age. These accelerometers that are old actually came in wooden boxes. Now a days, companies just sell them in plastic boxes. =/
Oh, right anyhow, any job you can work with your father/mother is a pretty good experience for a teenager.

Nope. I guess it's not as glamorous as TV makes it seem. :(
my first actual job was at a dairy queen. I loved it :D
The only people that weren't high schoolers were the managers. The male to female ratio was like 1:4.
And an added bonus, I worked near the beach, so I saw a lot of hot girls in their swimsuits 8)
VERY good job :P
The best way to get hired is to know people. Even the most absurd connection can land a job.
If you don't have anybody that can/will hook you up with a job than you're going to have to send in a ton of applications until you get hired. The larger your city the more selective you can be, but in a town under 50k you might just want to take anything you can grab (including fast food). Normally the jobs w/ out connections suck. The only two jobs I've ever had w/out a connection was detassling (removing tassles from corn stalks), and telemarketer both of which really suck.
Getting a good job w/out a connection is pretty much like winning the lottery.exactly, that's how i got my current jobThe best way to get hired is to know people. Even the most absurd connection can land a job.
