The Iron Giant, one of my favorite movies of all time but it seems that not so many people saw it even tho that it was one of the best films of 1999...

The Iron Giant wasn't under-rated.
It won several awards, universally acclaimed by critics, 97% Certified fresh and named one of the top 10 best animated films of all time by the American Film Institute.

Gattica, yes is always some class that makes you watch it, but dang I really loved it and felt moved by the ending.

I think The Cell is his best movie. Unfortunately it feels like his movies have been getting progressively worse with each new one. Immortals and Mirror Mirror don't live up to the visuals or story of The Fall or The Cell at all. And now that Eiko Ishioka died I'm not sure how any new movies are ever going to live up. Maybe if he got someone like Kazuma Kaneko to desgin costumes and sets it'd work out.
Pineapple Express. Yeah, thats right.smokingsbad

That film is so good. Is it not critically acclaimed? Or is it lack of commercial success. Would be really surprised if it were the former.

Super size it b!tch. A very funny movie.Withnail and I
Metropolitan
The Last Days of Disco
Three of the funniest movies I've ever seen that don't get nearly the amount of attention they deserve.
Despite it still receiving mixed to positive reviews, I feel Taken is an outstanding action film, and deserves far more praise.
The Divide was a recent film the critics loved to bash, I though it was brilliant but to each their own i guess.
KABOOOM3
I'd never heard of it until I walked into the rental store and saw it. Gave it a try and found it really engrossing. A very disturbing look at survival and human behaviour under apocalyptic conditions.
The Boondock SaintsCyanide4Suicid3
Are you talking underrated critically? Because I think pretty much everybody has heard of Boondock Saints plus over the years there has been a ton of merchandising for it.
Edit:
[QUOTE="Cyanide4Suicid3"]The Boondock SaintsSwanogt19haha. No that film is overrated.
Also this
YES. You have not watch Taken until you watched it atleast 2-3 times.Despite it still receiving mixed to positive reviews, I feel Taken is an outstanding action film, and deserves far more praise.

Lord of War with Nicholas Cage. Amazing film, great writing, directing, cinematpgraphy and Cage fits the role well.

Master and Commander........... Was a box office disaster, yet a amazing movie.. sSubZerOoQuite a shame because it is a really fantastic movie. Russel Crowe and Paul Bettany were terrific in it.
Undisputed III:Redemption

I freaking love that movie. It's a shame Scott Adkins didn't get a bigger role in Expendables 2.
I disagree. I thought that remake was terrible an painfully long. The remake of King Kong imo.I thought it was a pretty fun movie.

I feel that the following movies are underrated as well:
Not looked upon as highly as "2001" because it's more of a straightfoward, easier for audiences to digest sci-fi movie. But still provides a satisfying resolution to some of the threads brought up in 2001 and in general the acting is better.
Jackie Brown is rarely brought up in the conversations about Tarantino I've seen, but it's far from being his worst movie (see Death Proof for that). It just had the misfortune of lacking the same class as some of his better works and being the movie to follow up Pulp Fiction.
It's not underrated from a critical standpoint, but most people I know have never seen this movie and know it only as where the Hitler Rant Parody video meme originated.
And as per tradition for these underrated film threads, I put my obligatory Dark City answer.
Love King Kong 05! One of my all time favorites! The remake of King Kong imo.I thought it was a pretty fun movie.
