So I can't seem to find any good music websites... What I'm looking for is basically a service where they recommend bands that are similar to bands I currently like, though it doesn't even have to be that, basically, a way of finding new band's that I will like.

Any suggestions, even sites that don't suit the above criteria, will be helpful ^_^.

Thanks.

Doesn't really match what you are looking for, but I have discovered lots of new good music and groups through browsing youtube.

Last F.M and Pandora are alright, they focus to much on higher corporate music much like a radio station does (not that theres anything wrong with that) But personally I love Grooveshark.com. It is soooo easy to use, and has everysong, every album, every live show an artist has put up and its 100 percent free with no subscriptions.

I don't think Last f.m. is available here, I tried using it before and it just wouldn't work, can't remember why not. Yeahhh, I don't really like most mainstream music at all, like what they play on the radio. Thanks for the recommendation, i'll check out grooveshark ^_^.

last.fm, grooveshark, and shockhounds a good merch/mp3 site for the bands you find.

I've always been a fan of using Rhapsody to search for music. Although, more obscure titles might not be available. Plus, if you're looking for free, probably not the way to go.

GrooveShark doesn't have a lot of the stuff I'm looking for. A lot of searches come up blank, so I just use Last.FM.

Lala used to be good for cheap downloads, haven't been back since apple acquired them, so I'm not sure if its still good.

Saturos3091

This.

Last.Fm has a larger database and it's more accurate on finding music that's similar to the one you already listen to and it works even better once you sign up and create a library. Really the only thing I don't like about it is that sometimes they're a little late on updating new releases or telling you about upcoming ones, but I think the events feature kind of makes up for it.

Last.fm is what I use the most. Pandora is good too. Not a fan of grooveshack.
