I'm considering going into something technical in the medical field, such as radiology, mri technician, ultrasound tech, ct tech. What are some other jobs that pay well and wont leave you unemployed?

I used to be a Design Engineer and we developed medical products, most in the X-ray field. I've been to many hospitals across the country, so with that said I would recommend radiology as a terrific career to look into. There are a couple of levels so you can go pretty far up the ladder.
Around 200k jobs were lost in September, but 20k new medical related jobs were created. IT's expected to be this way for some time, so you really cant go wrong with any of your choices, especially with healthcare reform on the horizon, which will really put stress on shortage of qualified personnel
I know a girl who works 3 days a week as a radiology tech and makes a lot of money and then doubles on her 2 days off as an on call tech at a different hospital with pay and makes double time. She banks a lot of money and its almost ridiculous.
