Google: Better than sex?

Well, according to Google Insights it's more popular.

It seems, as of 2007, that the people searching the word Google (in Google no less) surpassed the number of people who searched for the word 'sex.'

After trying a bunch of other words only 'Yahoo', 'Facebook', and 'lyrics' came out on top (even popular searches such as 'dictionary' and 'ebay' failed to surpass the titular three letter word).

Why on earth would people Google Google?

edit - as for sex, people are probably too busy Googling 'barely legal redheads' or 'naughty teens' or what have you.

They're probably including any search that included the words "google" or "sex. Thus searching for "google buys out youtube" would count as a hit for google for example.

Anyway, this isn't too surprising. Only computer novices search for porn using the word "sex". Everybody else knows to use keywords for the specific type of sex act or porn you're looking for.

Even despite that, the word sex is still a titan when it comes to searches. Besides, the word sex can be used in non-pornographic searches you know. :P
