Google has ruined Youtube.

after google bought youtube for 12 billion dollars, they have made it worse and worse. They have placed ad's all over the videos which pop-up everywhere. The person who posts the video can now put comments on top of the playing video. They've added a stupid playlist feature which gets in the way of you finding your own videos. And they've messed up the search engine - I search for a popular song that had 27 million views and it was the 6th video down in the search engine, I had to scroll through all this "recently added" bullcrap which had nothing to do with the song, then i had to scroll through playlist results and yea.

Well, that is coporatism for you.

I think being able to post comments directly on your videos is cool, when it's not over-used.

Aside from that, I have to admit: the new Youtube is crap. The ads are particularly annoying. Ads on the website? Fine. Someone's gotta pay for the website maintenance, after all. Ads on the videos? NOW we have a problem.

It's not really all too bad. You can always get rid of the words on top the video.

They need to work that out though. Sometimes the "HD" makes the video a bit more stuttery in the visual department. And sometimes the loading gets messed up

just get firefox and get the add-on that disables ads.

Yeah google has totally ruined youtube, in the UK we can't even watch music videos any more because of some rights issues, music vids are pretty much all I go on youtube for.

Okay, so they take down videos if there is a copyright violation because that is the law. It's not like they really have a choice. That's going to be the case with like any site that does what they do.

None of those other things bother me. In fact, I haven't even noticed any of them other than the person being able to put comments over the video...which they could have done with video editing software if they wanted anyway. I don't know what ads you're talking about; I don't know if that has something to do with me using Adblock Plus. I don't have any videos of my own on there, so I guess I wouldn't notice anything that would interfere with finding them.

Not the ones that are added by the actual record companies which are the ones that are affected by these new rules. Supposedly the Performing Rights Society are wanting to much money for their songs so google decided to remove all the premium music videos on the UK version of the site. link

I never liked youtube.

I dont know google is the only way you can really find the video you actually want to see on youtube anymore
