Everyday when my school bus driver drives us home she plays Sean Hannity's Conservative Underground through the radio. Even though I'm a democrat I usually don't say anything but I got sick of hearing Hannity refer to the economic crisis as the "Obama Recession" so I finally said something today. I started yelling out "Good old Sean is completly apropriate for a public school bus" and other things of that nature. She put the radio louder but I kept making remarks so she finally switched the station. She gave me the most dirty look when I was walking off though. Should bus drivers be aloud to play political shows on public school buses?

I'd say the fact that they have to drive around 30 brats daily gives them the right to decide what goes on the radio. Bring your headphones next time.

Her job is to drive around a whole busload of annoying kids. The least she should be able to do is listen to her choice of radio station.

But it is inappropriate for her to force propaganda into students ears. Just because her job sucks doesn't mean she can do what ever she wants.

that's not worse then having a hippy sandal wearing teacher blasting bush every day in class during my english class in college. I know most people hate bush but the jokes get old.

As krazykillaz said, bring headphones.

Or you could just not listen.

Here's a solution: just listen to a iPod or something. I mean, I think she has the right to put on whatever she wants, and if youd don't like it, just listen to music or do something else.

She's not forcing "propaganda" into the students. It's just that you disagree with the political views. You don't have to listen to it.

I don't think it's really your place to tell her what she should, or should not, listen to while driving. You have the option of putting on headphones and tuning out the whole world until you get dropped off. She doesn't. Leave her alone and stop trying to make a statement over nothing. Would you raise such a fuss if she put on music instead?

i listen to sean hannity, rush limbaugh, and marc levvin almost everyday.

i love it. i love conservative talk radio.

she proabably wants to "influence your young minds," which is borderline propaganda, and i don't like that.

The fact that Hannity calls it the "obama recession" really is hilarious. I cant believe you allow people so obviously ignorant to host political shows.

Well, the guy could always walk to school, if it's really that unbearable.

I have to agree in a certain respect. She isnt much forcing it into your ears, but if there are students uncomfortable with it she shouldnt be aloud to play it. And for those of you saying she should be able to pick whatever she wants because she has a **** job, she picked the job and put herself into the **** so she can suck it up and change the station.

Right, because she was forced into that job.

Unless there's a rule that says she can only put on certain stations, she should be able to put whatever she wants on the radio. Regardless of how the students feel about it. I'm sure there's some thing about profanity and whatnot though.

Well it's not like the bus driver was insulting anyone. Maybe they were just ignorant. Try and ignore those people, they do no good for you in the long run.

Just bring an Ipod, she's the driver, she can listen to what she wants...

I wouldn't agree with her playing what she did, but at the end of the day, she's the driver.

Yes Bus drivers should be allowed to listen to talk-radio while driving.

I'd prefer it honestly.

It is unproffesional for her to do such a thing, really. She doesn't own the bus, and it is a public bus service, meaning she has no right to bring her politics into her job.

It's not? I think it is good to get them involved in politics so they will actually make informed decisions when they vote.

Listen to an ipod or cd player. That is what I do. Maybe just talk to your friends on the bus and ignore the radio? I even got a better idea! Don't ride the bus. Get a ride to school.
