I bought my first car, an acura integra(coupe) last saturday for around $1200.

I want to fix the car up a bit, buy a new radio (In-Dash decks they are called on bestbuy.c0m), I want to fix the front of the car, and buy two seat covers.

Pic of the front bumper.

Now, how much do you think it would cost to fix the car, add a better radio, and buy two seat covers.

EDIT: For your information, all the lights work in the front. Including the blinker. Besides the front of the car, the only problem with it is the radio. Which doesnt work, only the CD player works.

Okay... I have a Honda, so Hondas and Acuras are almost the same thing. The radio shouldn't be too expensive, it cost me $99 with free installation, but that was with circuit city and they are closed now, plus I bought speakers with it. Seat covers I am guessing around hundred bucks, but I am not too sure on that, and for the bumper, it really depends on where you get it fixed.

I don't think GS OT is the best place to ask. You could call different places and find out, and go for the cheapest. Can't really think of anything else.

I don't know too much about cars, but since the front bumper of your car is all one piece, you might have to replace the whole thing instead of just getting that one part fixed. At least that's what happened when I backed into my dad's friend's Honda. Cost like $700 to replace it also.

The bumper could cost you around $120 if you install it yourself but it's a little bit time consuming. But that's not including the repaint. A new cd player could cost you around $100. Some cheap covers at walmart are around $30 I think..not too sure about that.

By the looks of the damage on your car the whole front would have to be replaced which would probably cost over a $1000. Normally sections of bumbers don't get fixed as opposed to taking the whole thing off and replacing it. As for seat covers they can cost over $100 for ones that are decent. If you spend $30 on seat covers you would most likely be getting covers that don't work good at all and water damaged seats don't look good at all.

As for the $1200 you paid for the car, how many miles is on it becasue that is a fairly cheap price? I would expect upwards of 100,000 miles on it which could mean more repairs in the near future if the car wasn't taken care of well. Which by the looks of it, it wasn't.

If the cd player works, why would you want to fix the radio? Most of the stuff on the radio sucks.

The car has around 186,000 miles on it. It runs great, the girl before me bought new tires, and a new radiator around 6 months before I bought it. She said, it may need a oil change in a few months. But other then that, she said youll be good to go. I bought the car from my sister's friend, so I know im not dealing with someone who is trying to rip me off.

I looked on a couple websites, to fix the front it looks like it will be around $350 to buy the parts. Not sure how much it would cost to get them installed.

For seat covers, there are some decent ones for around $40-50. As for the radio, I might be getting a $180 in-dash deck thingy, from bestbuy half off + free installation, because my sister's boyfriend works there.

Not an expert on acuras but I think the FB would be 100-200. Dear god don't get seat covers, just clean up the seats and they'll look fine. Plus you save money. Well, if you have to get them PLEASE don't get cow or leopard print. Oh and I just wouldn't go for the new radio, if you have an ipod or zune, get a tape deck, they're around $15. You'll need the radio money for some basic priorities as a first car owner.

A bumper and any foam that is needed to go under will probably run you around $1200, a seats'... if you are just looking to recover them, I dunno, a few hundred, and then the stereo, it depends, I bought a $400 alpine back in 2005 ish, but you can probably get a decent one for like $200. So I would say it will cost at least 2 grand for everything! Not such a cheap car eh? I dunno, my cousins and a lot of friends all got cheaper cars that they were all putting money into constantly and were always unreliable, but gosh, I spent like 10,000 on my mustang when I bought it being months old. I mean I could have gotten like a 2-4 year old one and saved some money, but I mean my car right now has just 40,000 miles on it and is picture perfect condition still.
