okay, so I was listening to Cradle of Filth's cd Midian. Yeah, so I was wondering if theres anything out there that sounds similar to COF's music, but without Dani's vocals. Either something totally instrumental (not necessarily a soundscape though) or with a female vocalist (preferably opera).

Ineritus is pretty good, if not just a bit obscure. They're from the Czech Republic. They have a good female vocalist, but they use a grunter, too sometimes. Srdce Kral is their CD that I have. You might like it.

Negura Bunget - Om is a really good BM record in which the vocals are toned down quite a bit (you can still hear them, but it's definitely not in your face vocals).

Look, I used the word "goth" in my title. I never said that COF --WAS-- goth. I just used the word so people with a narrow sense of termonology would get the jist of what I was trying to look for. Thats all.
