Yeah, it was good, definitely one of my favorites of 2008. I wouldn't say it's one of the best movies I've seen, nor was it Eastwood's best, but it was good.

I agree 100 percent. In my opinion the movie was borderline awful. Even metal gear solid, a video game, seemed to make "ughs" spoken from snake work in their cut scenes but Eastwood def. does not. And when hes sitting in the bar with the pastor talking about the "horrible things we did in Korea"...it was like he was reading it off a cue card. No patience in delivery, no emotion, and it was reflected back in the pastors reaction. And thats just Clints acting. Every other person acting was....pasty at best...... And the plot was predictable. This would have been OK if it werent for such passionless acting. The constant contrasting of Old and young, new and used, etc etc is so over done and blatant its just boring. I've heard these things, including the dodgy acting, was suppose to be...I dont buy that. Its a badly scripted, badly acted movie that does not deserve 80 percent from rotten tomatoes.
it could have been a lot better if he replaced some of the asian actors with more experienced ones. There were scenes where I was cringing because the actors were so bad it was almost unbearable
It was okay. Clint was great and pretty funny and as usual, his direction was pretty solid. Everything else? Not too good, especially some of the dialogue and most of the supporting actors.
