Yup.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
can't make a call for lack of complete story and video, etc...but I'll bet the cops acted out of line.
What? They didn't tazer the little children also? The cops are clearly not doing their job.
actually this has been posted before.
A pregnant woman!?!?:? Couldn't that like, hurt the baby or something?:?

Potentially, potentially not.
Depends where she was tasered and at what intensity.
[QUOTE="jimmyjammer69"]Those wacky Christians... what won't they think of next? At my christening, I just got splashed with water by a vicar.Locke562Maybe they'll combine the two. First you get splashed with water, then tazed. Chuck in a hot dog eating contest and you've got the recipe for a hit Japanese gameshow.
How many times must it be said: if people were to simply shut the **** up, listen to what the officers are instructing them to do, and avoid getting confrontational, then none of this will happen. I swear, the more I hear about incidents like this, the more it seems some people are just idiots when it comes to police encounters. Why the hell anyone would argue or try to resist when they have a gun or taser pointed at them is beyond me.
"Excessive police force seems to be a recurring safety issue for people of color. With this latest incident occurring just weeks after Harvard Professor Henry Louise Gates Jr. was arrested, it is seeming more and more dangerous to be black or Latino in your own home these days."
Will the race card never go away?
So are you saying you will drop your pants and finger your hole if a police officer pointing a gun at you told you to do so? Come on, people has the right to defend themselves if they don't agree with the police. From what we see in the video, the man never acted disturbingly. How many times must it be said: if people were to simply shut the **** up, listen to what the officers are instructing them to do, and avoid getting confrontational, then none of this will happen. No. you're not supposed to fight against police unless they are doing something illegal. Obviously the police overreacted but that's no excuse to lash out against them. How many times must it be said: if people were to simply shut the **** up, listen to what the officers are instructing them to do, and avoid getting confrontational, then none of this will happen. Someone gets the cops called on them and their first inclination is to start arguing? How about getting things worked out the proper way by actually listening to what they are trying to say. The cops were there for a noise complaint, had this "gentleman" simply complied and avoided acting like a prick he would've just gotten a request to turn the music down and the cops would've left. That's all. But, obviously, since he felt an urge to defend himself from such "tyranny", he ended up getting himself and his daughter tasered. How many times must it be said: if people were to simply shut the **** up, listen to what the officers are instructing them to do, and avoid getting confrontational, then none of this will happen. Me no likey cops. Ever since I had to sit in the back of a cop car when I was nine for building a fort at an abandoned houses front yard I've disliked my neighbor and cops :P
You mean they only tased the pregnant woman? They didn't, like, faceplant her or something? But she's obviously a strong, dangerous threat to trained law enforcement professionals, who, as we all know, are not required by any stretch of the imagination to act rationally in a given circumstance; no, when they're disobeyed, the law clearly allows for them to pull a harmful and potentially deadly weapon on absolutely anybody, ranging from pregnant women to 11-year-old children to crippled teenagers to chihuahuas.
"Rodriguez refused several requests to turn down the loud music, acted "disorderly" and refused to identify himself. " Does that really justify using a very powerful non-lethal weapon on an elderly man and pregnant women? Seriously, you'd think tazers would give cops less power but they just seem to be tazing at their whim. (at least in this case)
