1. Kanye West - Graduation
2.Spoon - Gagagaga
3.Bruce Springsteen - Magic
4.Jay-Z - American Gangster
5.Kings of Leon - Because of the Times
what would your list be ?

Hmm I dunno but I have a feeling it was an album written by a corpoation and performed by a mainstream 'artist'. At least that seems to be the way the industry has gone in the last decade. *sigh* I miss originality.tequilasunriserOriginality isn't quality...it's not that important. And originality isn't gone.
Also the "corporations manipulate everything and sellouts and no originality blah blah blah" deal isn't as cool as it was a couple years ago...
The Roundhouse Tapes by Opeth. Best live album I've ever heard.
Also The meaning of and all things regarding ms. leading by The dear hunter.
Phew that was a mouthful
Only ones I have:
Linkin Park: Minutes to Midnight
Velvet Revolver: Libertad
HURT: Vol II
Foo Fighters: Echoes, Silence, Patience, Grace
no order, but these should be up there, Kanye West - Graduation, Lupe Fiasco - the Cool, angels and Airwaves - I-Empire

2. Alex Argento - EGO
3. Planet X - Quantum
4. Between the Buried and Me - Colours

Modest Mouse's "We Were Dead Before The Ship Ever Sank" is one of the best albums ever (That was 2007, right?)... Other than that, I wasn't impressed by much. "Icky Thump" amazed me for awhile, but I overplayed it and it doesn't do much for me anymore...
I bought mostly older albums this year...I got the entire Nirvana collection (finally..lol...Guitar Hero and RockBand got me into them), the Radiohead album with "Creep" (RockBand), a David Bowie album, a 2006 Regina Spektor album...And so on...
American Gangster disappointed me, but I never liked Jay Z... "Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces" also disappointed.... I think Evans Blue put out a new album this year, which was decent, but I never listened to it enough..
My favorite album of the year (that I bought) is Nirvana's "In Utero" ...LOL
Oh, "Eat Me, Drink Me" was a great one for 07.
