If anyone else saw Clerks 2, I'm like Randall (about Lord of The Rings movies):Â " All the movies are is walking. Those movies were so f***ing boring even the trees started walking." I really couldn't stand them, yet so all of them in theatre, blah.
If American Beauty was made in 2000 then that'd be my favorite, if not then I'm not really sure. Probably Crash or Million Dollar Baby for writing, Sin City and Grindhouse for visuals, its just too broad to answer.
Clerks II would be up there on my last, as would Batman Begins, Sin City etc and others i can't even think of at the moment. If anyone else saw Clerks 2, I'm like Randall " All the movies are is walking. Amen. Though 300 and Sin City are pretty fantastic. Batman Begins is by far the best Superhero film ever made, but best comic book... Its a three-way tie between the aforementioned.[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"][QUOTE="johnchan3"]spiderman series?Apollo5000

fight club, american beauty, cinderella man are my favoritesbminns
Those two were made in 1999, so they're 20th century. Sorry...I like them, too. :( :P
Lord of the Rings trilogy, Spiderman 1 and 2 (and 3 soon), 300, The Punisher, Hot Fuzz (I personally thought it was better than Shaun of the Dead), Star Wars Episode 3, etc.Flaming_Ape
i agree with hot fuzz and shaun of the dead, two of the better comedies in the past few years.

whoops, i'm drunk :PÂ Â i'm going to say cinderella man then. :P
one of the most underrated movies in the past few years in my opinion.
Harry Potter movies, Pirates series, Spider-Man films, Batman Begins. Those are the action flicks. I've seen too many movies to list them all.

i agree. cinderella man was one of the most beautiful movies i've seen in a long time, it was a very powerful story. i have nothing but good things to say about that movie. Â

I don't know, 300 was really just a run of the mill action flick, mediocre acting, just decent story and writing, fun to look at, great action. It was a great popcorn movie, but I don't think it's on par with Batman Begins. As for the best film of the 21st century, I'd agree that Grindhouse was among the best, another is  Little Miss Sunshine
I'd like to go ahead and cast my vote for worst as Superman Returns, it would have been unwatchable if not for Parker Posey and Kevin Spacey
honestly, for some reason, most of the movies people have suggested so far seem laughable compared to movies of the past. The only one I can really get behind was Children of Men, other than that no, not at all. darkside646Compared to movies of the past?
for me its.

City of God is a masterpiece. For me it has to be Requiem For A Dream. I've seen it lots of times, yet I still get different feelings about it every time I see it.
Some others out of the top of my head would be Donnie Darko, Spirited Away, A Scanner Darkly, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
