There is no such thing as a "great" rapper, or even a "good" rapper; consequently, there cannot be any "greatest" rapper.

Rakim, without a doubt. I'd also put Biggie, Nas, Big L, Big Pun, Andre 3000, Ice Cube, and Kool G. Rap very very close to the top of my list.

Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rappper of all time.

Best technical rapper is Eminem

Best rapper ever, Jay-Z or Biggie

EDIT: I'm going to change my decision and say Andre 3000 is the greatest ever. I've never heard him spit anything wack. Not on the Outkast albums, not on any features and not even on his singing album which kind of doesn't count in this discussion. His lyrics are on point every time. He hasn't even had a solo album. Jay-Z has spit some very wack rhymes and Biggie used the same lines a lot, i.e. "spread like mustard" on like 3 different songs.

2pac doesnt have any skill, but Soulja Boy does. Please explain?

You are not at a high enough level to understand the lyrical complexity of "Supaman." If I tried to explain your brain would explode.

! good album. which one?

why dont u like Pac?

All Eyez on Me was the only album I ever liked by him. I dunno, I just found there to be much better rappers in the 90's. Mobb Deep, Wu Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, and OutKast to name a few...as well as the others I mentioned.

Im guessing you like rappers who rap with lots of emotion?

eh i guess so. i just like rappers who rap about stuff that has meaning. i mean, i liked pac when he was humpdy in digital underground but emotion definitely adds alot to a song.

If it makes you feel better I think Pac is highly over-rated too. I know he is an icon, but as far as lyrically he was not that great. He made meaningful songs and he rapped with a lot of passion, but he just wasn't as great (lyrically) as most people make him out to be.

2pac fans do not see him as a lyrical rapper. 2pac fans imo like 2pac for his ability to make rap songs. 2pac fans imo like 2pac for the emotion he spills into every track he created. 2pac fans imo like 2pac for his ability to connect with his fans 2pac fans imo enjoy how 2paced rapped even though he didnt perfect his lyrical ability 2pac fans imo liked his charisma The best rapper ever does not to be the best lyrically imo

Well thank you for reinforcing what I said in a pseudo-manner:? I like 2pac for his ability to make good songs, but to be on my top list you have to have be able to make good songs and you have to be an exceptional lyricist. That is why I dont think Pac is the best. He is great, but far from the best.
