Greatest US General

Pick your favorite for greatest US General of all time, or post your personal favorite if I didn't include him on the list. It's a list greatly open to interpretation, based on tactical ability, personal likeability by his troops, and win/loss combat record. For me, it's a toss up between Stonewall Jackson, argueably one of the greatest tactical field commanders in US History and George S. Patton. What do you think?

Robert E. Lee, because he's a badass.

Though the college I attend is named after George Washington.

pretty impressive ..

I like Robert E. Lee because he was almost always outnumbered 2 to 1 and he won most of his battles.

But Patton beat Rommel and he only had Sherman tanks.

And McArthur could've taken out North Korea if Truman wasn't such an idiot.

So I can't decide!

You're definitely right on the money with that one. It sucks I was limited to only 5 names on the Poll, because Douglas MacArthur was definitely bad ***. The man was a Medal of Honor recepient.
