As far as I'm aware, they rebuilt it to withstand category 3 hurricanes, which is just stupid.

It was forcasted a few days before i believe, but i saw it early this morning and ive seen it mentioned on OT more than enough times already.

That's a terrible disservice to the people of that city.
I saw some thing on the history channel yesterday when i was half awake, they are apparently using much stronger clay for the levies now then back in 2005 so hopefully they can withstand this time.

Let's hope it doesn't end up like Katrina. And that there's actually a plan for this one. I'm looking at you, Bush.Scarker

There's a chance it could slide west and spare the city, but I wouldn't get your hopes up yet.
