It was my first movie with Superpowers. Saw it first late 80's if i recall. Plus it had amazing theme for its time, less action tho compared to II.

Well?

Loved Superman and Superman 2, the rest where hot garbage though. Man of Steel though is still my favorite Superman movie to date.

Yeah, apart from the whole spinning the world around to turn back time....it was great at the time.

I have the full collection of Donner-verse movies plus Returns and the animated DOOMSDAY movie, which I love dearly.

That is to say, I've never seen the movie in question.

One of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember seeing superman 2 at the theater. Thought it was the greatest movie of all time. I got to watch Superman duke it out with 3 other supers. They didn't age well at all though. Hard to watch these days.

1 and 2 are amazing movies. They haven’t made one I’ve liked since, and I’ve seen them all.

Yea, I never got the logic in that - even as a kid it perplexed me.

Yeah, still among the best superhero movies to this day. Same with Donner's version of Part 2.

Definitely a movie from my childhood that I loved, not sure how I would enjoy it as an adult though. Maybe I should give it a whirl.

And John Williams doing the soundtrack...top notch! Da da da duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhn duH! Da da da da daaaaaaaaaaaa dah!

Gotta love the token "brotha" in these 1970's movies.

Best part of Airplane.

I'm glad someone agrees with me on this. While it's very impressive that they were able to pull off these effects in 1978, the movies are just not that good. I would even rank Superman Returns above them.

Found it ridiculous. Kind of mediocre. The villain's plot incredibly silly. Don't think I'd watch it again.

It was okay. Superman was a great character but I hated the take on Clark Kent. Also not a fan of turning back time. Lex Luthor blew.
