Guys: In a public washroom, when taking a piss, do you use the stall?

Now this topic might get derailed but hopefully we can keep it clean as I'm trying to ask a serious question.

On topic:

Today at work I unfortunately had to go "number 2." I work at a best buy store and there is unfortunately only 1 washroom which also has to be shared with customers. I'd been holding this for a while because I was in the middle of dealing with a customer and can't just stop and say, "give me 5 mins for a bathroom break" ;). In any case, I get to the washroom and to my dismay there are only 2 stalls and both are currently occupied. However what really got on my nerves was one of the users was simply standing and taking a piss(he left the stall door open); and not only that, but there were 3 open urinals that he could have just as easily used. Now to be fair, he only took about a minute but I was anxiously waiting in the corner and it felt like an eternity.

So now that the "funny" story is out of the way, I pose the topic question. In a public washroom, do you conciously choose to use the stall rather than the urinal for taking a leak? and if so why?

I could understand if the urinals are all full and theres open stalls... but why not use an open urinal rather than an open stall if there is that option?

I use the stall, Im just more of a private person.

It depends if the urinals are free or not.

Depends, if I have to stand between two other men then I'll opt for the stall, if there's sufficient space between me and another man (One urinal at least) or dividers between the urinals then I'll go for the urinals, I'm not a fan of people being directly beside me whilst I'm going pee, I'm quite a private person when it comes to stuff like that.Im_single

Heh I'm actually surprised but it seems like the majority actually prefer using the stalls...

To be honest, I myself actually prefer having an empty urinal between myself and another guy or a divider but not enough to take an empty stall over an empty urinal.

I guess dividers need to be more of a prerequisite here.

Depends on the type of urinal, some can be too close for comfort. Either way I use the stall.

Just like me , here's a suggestion, use earplugs while you're peeing that way you can't hear anybody.

You're very vulnerable at the urinals...someone could just take my wallet out of my back pocket and run...I wouldn't pursuit the thief until I was finished...he could get away by then...

Usually a stall, because there is usually not 1 urinal inbetween me and another guy.

Also at football games I use stalls, because at Arrowhead stadium there are no urinals, it's just a long bath tub you piss in. Talk about nasty.

My first thought would be to turn around on them ;)

Theirs a lot of paranoid responses which was kinda surprising, but as for me I always use the stall unless their all occupied (for pissing anyway):P

HAHA! Oh man, that´s funny! But seriously. I use the urinal when I have to pee. Stall to take a dump. I don´t care. Well, the places i go, the urinals have dividers. soo its no big deal.
