Well mistakes are bound to happen, and I too am surprised that the guy is taking it ok. I would be pretty upset ifmy family member or friend was in it and they mispelled it. Mabey they can fix it?

1 letter, out of place by 1 character. Sure, it's a mistake none the less. But hardly something to get worked up over.

It's a single error. With how big the project was, I'm surprised that that's the only error. people make mistakes, it happens. It would be foolish to get worked up over something as small as that.

It's nice to see that they weren't freaking out about it. I would be upset as well, but it was an honest mistake in a very large project. I'm sure they'll correct the spelling as soon as they can.

**** happens. It was a typo. It's not disrespectful in the least because it wasn't done intentionally. That's like finding out you're pregnant a week after somebody's kid (of any age) died or they had a miscarriage. You didn't do it to upset them, it just happened, it's not disrespect.

All the bronze panels were done in under a year I heard. They just have to make that particular panel again I guess as long as it can be removed (I'm not sure if they can remove it easily).

It's getting fixed[QUOTE="article"]

"As soon as we found out about this error, we began working on how to make it right and we're engaged with our fabricators, contractors and the architect to do so," he said. The memorial told NBC New York on Tuesday that the error would be fixed this week.

I'm actually surprised this is the only error they've found with how big the project is. But they will fix it and that's good news for the Victims Family. :)

Fix it up, end of story. Glad the family didn't go crazy over it.
