Habit of clicking on unread topics

So what I mean is that, I click on topics I'm not even going to comment on just to make the dot at the beginning of the topic title red.

For example, I'm a member of the Final Fantasy Experience board, and the forum main page looked like this:

So I don't like those blue dots and start clicking on the topics so they turn red, mostly I do this on stickies. The result is this:

Why I do this is beacuse I think I get an better overview on the board that way. So do more people do this or is something messing with my brain and am I in serious trouble?

I don' t do that. But I' m sure there' s nothing wrong with you-people tend to do a lot of weird stuff just because it makes them feel that everything' s correct. I' m counting myself as one of them too.

I clicked on this thread because there was nothing else that caught my attention at this hour. Son, I am dissapoint.
