Hi everyone, just a quick blurb that I am posting everywhere.

As you all know, an earthquake has virtually leveled Port-au-Prince the haiti capital; in response people are opening their wallets and showing their support.

However, in order to make sure your money counts. You should talk with friends and family members. Many companies are currently running programs where the employer will match each dollar you donate. This means that if you donate 20 dollars, they will donate 20 dollars as well. Therefore, instead of donating straight to the established channels such as Red Cross, you should really be looking at doubling your donations by having a friend/family member who works at such a company donate in your stead.

Let us do what we can!

Thanks!

Thank you. I've already sent as much as I can afford, but hopefully everyone else is doing the same.

i feel right now in a depressive mood and i do know what some must be going through over there who are malnourished. surely. i had nothing to eat for nine hours today and then yesterday, twelve hours.

tonight i might find a place where i can donate in person and go away thinking that it may help someone i do not even know, never will meet and who does not know me. good.

If every single person in America just sent what they could afford, Haiti would have all the aid it would need.

Yeah at this point Im not encouraged to buy anything for myself right now :( I have $25 dollars saved and $35 that a friend owes me and that was an investment for either a blu ray DvD or Uncharted 2. I'm going to encourage my parents to take that money along with the money they might be sending. That money better go for the Haiti cause, and not anywhere else. I dont trust the Red Cross

You have to state it's for the Haiti Relief Effort or whatever they call it. Otherwise, it just goes to their funds for anything they decide to use it on.
