I just opened a new bag of chips, and guess what- its not even halfway full!
Is the company just getting cheap or was it the machine that filled its fault? :(

yes they are getting cheap. my teacher told me that its a marketing strategy. they keep the size of the container the same so they can keep charging the same amount of money and put a little less by the year. then on the package they give you this bullcrap disclaimer that says the contents settled during the shipping and storage process. theyve been doing it with cereal for decades.bojingles4393yeah, I heard the one about cereal, and just assumed it was the same thing with chips.
Yes they are in fact getting cheap.
Chips do NOT come close to costing $3.50 a bag to make. Espcially when its only half full.
Its an absolute rip, but people still buy it, so the company is smart, while the buyers... well, they're not as smart.
This is why i stopped buying Doritos.
thats how it is for everything. for a company to make a disk for a video game it cost them only a few cents-San-
And you do realize that it costs hundred of thousands to millions of dollars to make the information that goes onto the disc...:|
