Have you ever woken up and saw something in your room that wasn't there just to have it disappear in front of you? Did you ever meditate and see something?

It happened to me yesterday. I was trying out some new meditation lying down, with my eyes closed. I opened my eyes and saw a large spider crawling on the ceiling. When I noticed what it was, it vanished.

Now, I don't take any drugs nor am I under any sort of medication or have any mental disorders. This is also the first time that it's happened. A therapist friend of mine told me that I'm "very suggestive" and "put myself under hypnosis." Weird, huh? That ever happen to you?

No I haven't. I've only hallucinated when doing drugs which I don't do anymore.

how old are you? the reason i ask is because thats a deep meditative state (and some people spend a long time trying to get there) your mind stays conscious but your brain wave patterns change to the same as if you were sleeping, what you saw was technically a dream

Yeah, I never thought I'd be able to do that. I'm 26 btw and it's my first time trying out Mindfulness Meditation. Beginner's luck, I guess... My girlfriend has been able to enter her own lucid dream before. She says that's where she was told about someone like me. Pretty cool, huh?

Yeah, I had a matrix moment once in the Yoga class. It's not an Hallucination...not a dream, it's different.

A co-worker says it's a hypnogogic/hypnotropic experience. I guess you could call it "Hypnagogia." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia

No, it's not. I'll tell you how it feels, you'll know how your brain works at that point....our sensations like sound, taste and smell are just impulses to your brain, but in that meditative state your vision feels the same way as "impulses"...it's a life changing moment where you thinkphysical universe is a delusion.

I'll do my own research. Thanks anyway.
