This thread exists for two reasons.

1. Because I believe that hallucinogenic drugs may have some potential benefits within a society that is able to control them.
2. Because the internet is an experiment of free speech, therein I have been suspended in a thread that condemned homosexuals, for calling a homophobe a "cretin", while the thread remained open for discussion.

I would like to draw your attention to the 8 model circuit of consciousness as a reference for discussion.

Having taken both weed and mescaline (under legal conditons...) I consider stronger hallucinogenics to be of greater benefit to society than cannabis.

Weed increases lateral thought but numbs the mind. Mescaline dramatically increases lateral thought and inspires the user.

Yes and no.

PCP and Ketamine are just too harsh to be legal for recreational use, but Acid does haveits merits. As much as 85% of people who have taken LSD just once or twice in their life have reported spiritual experiences that have changed them positively for life. Drugs like Peyote and Magic Mushrooms have this effect as well. Cannabis shouldn't even be discussed in the same context as drugs like Acid. Drugs as powerful as Acid are far too harmful to one's mind as to take them as recreationally and as Cannabis.

We as a society are most likely not responsible enough to have these kind of things as easily accessible as Alcohol though. I know a couple people who have taken too much Acid too often (weekly), and now are on a perma trip and are halfway out of their minds. I am for the legalization of Cannabis, Shrooms, and Mescaline, but Im on the fence about Acid.

I still have my doubts about weed ...it won't hurt you if you don't overuse it . But if you overuse it you become a crackhead who only cares about weed. Hallucinogens ...umm...not really beneficial.

Of course drugs have their benefits.. not just ones that make you hallucinate... Certain drugs are illegal just because they serve no purpose other than an "experience" per say. It is sort of a good thing that all these drugs are illegal because most people can't handle things like this being legal. Anyway drugs are an experience and they will change your life just as any other experience would. I will read that thing you posted I have NOT yet read it.
