I personally don't, not a whole lot anyways. I work in an accounting office, use quickbooks and excel mainly. Its a small office with only 3 employees (new small business) and with no co-workers to talk to its pretty boring. The work itself is empty and draining and i feel unfulfilled, but its w/e. I do it because its my best choice at the moment.

Not sure if it really counts as a job, but I'm enjoying the volunteer work I'm doing for a laboratory at my university. Even if they don't get the budget to hire me later on, I'll be getting paid for tutoring in the fall, and that's definitely gonna be a fun job.

It's good. I'm learning more Ruby on Rails than ever before, and it's nice to get used to an office environment. And it'll look good on my resume since I'm working on a big project.

I enjoy my earnings, but not the work itself. I am currently in the process of finding another job.

No. Working at Home Depot on the freight team, I spend the majority of my night lifting 50-100 pound bags of mulch, stone, or anything else that needs to be packed out, run around the store for 8 hours without a break (we are given breaks, but there are only 5 of us to move 1000-1500 pieces of freight a night, so we choose not to take them to finish as soon as possible), I've hurt myself a couple dozen times in the last month, everything from simple cuts and scrapes to fracturing my knuckle, and all for 8 bucks an hour with absolutely no benefits... not even an employee discount.

Still, I'll be done with it by the end of August.

Ehhh. It's okay for the time being. I'm a waiter, like my coworkers and boss, but it's not exactly what I want to be doing forever.

I agree with that, retail sucks. Especially since customers at Wal-mart are usually some of the dumbest people on the planet.

Good luck, that's where I work. The benefits are piss poor, pay sucks, and you will be over worked because they have a notion underhighering is good for the consumer. Oh and customers are complete idiots. But hey it's a job. Although your first day is easy, training, CBL's and other boring shit.

There are days when I can see myself working there for years. Then there are days where it takes everything I have to not just walk out. That's retail for you. The pay is complete shit for the amount of work I do, but the hours are relatively flexible. The worst part is since it's a smaller store, there are shifts where I'm the only sales staff and I'm responsible for working the entire store (minus cashier) by myself.

ah, you got a job that's a little less stressful then customer centered jobs, although it gets tough when a 2,400 item truck comes in and there's only a few people to actually take care of it.

That's what I hate about Wal Mart. THey have 40 something checkout aisles but only two people working them. It's aggravating for the customers and the cashiers I would imagine, too bad the management of Wal Mart is so cheap.

You could work at where I do where we have to do the truck (at 6am), then work on putting it all away WHILE having to constantly stop to help customers.

Well as much as I'd love them to hire cashier's it also means raising prices on things, which would also make the customer angry. Either way it's a lose lose situation. Luckily I'm a super fast cashier so I can normally get people through my line very quickly when only a couple of us are working.

I'm on break from my job right now until the school year starts again, but I'm not fond of it.
