Jk Rowling is supposed to give a announcement on Wednesday but she didn't say what it is going to be about except that it isn't a new book. They just created a new site called Pottermore. So what do you think it is?

I think it might be a mmo rpg video game but that's just my guess.

neither me nor my wife are into MMOs at all..but she's just big enough of a Harry Potter Dork to give it a chance if that is indeed teh announcement....heaven help us all....

Well going by the name "Pottermore", it sounds to me like it isn't just a single project but rather they are planning to expand on the "Potterverse" in general though different types of media, such as Games, TV, and possibly more books and movies. In short I can see Harry Potter becoming what Star Wars is. Also even if Pottermore itself doesn't turn out to be what I said here I can still see it happening, there is way too much money to be made from the insanely large fanbase Harry Potter has for it to be ignored after Deathly Hallows p2.

I'll be listening with great interest. I'm reading the books for the first time ever, and I just finished the 6th book. I'm horribly addicted to HP at the moment. I can't wait to delve into the Deathly Hallows!

I'm hoping for something big. I don't want the series to die out, and I figure it wont consider the money it makes. I'd love an MMO, I'd love a new book (maybe something to do with a different series), I'd love a TV show (almost seems logical. Look for Game of Thrones for an example), I'd enjoy the encyclopedia she has been promising but wouldn't get too excited over that, and I'd be disappointed if it was something web based like a Harry Potter social networking type deal.

I suppose the only logical answer is that the Wizarding World exists, and they're using JKR as a spokes-person for their invasion and decimation of Muggle Earth, which'll begin as soon as the announcement has finished.

Sirius/Remus was a HUGE fandom ship until Remus got together with Tonks in book 6(?). Love WWoHP!! I went in October and I'm going back in about three weeks (Leakycon!). I'm even going to the after-hours park event, it's going to be rad. Catered, so unlimited butterbeer, pumpkin juice, food, etc., and only open to 2000 tickets. :D But yeah I miss her style too. I would LOVE another HP book. LOVE. Or any book written by her, really.

I would actually welcome a new Harry Potter book. I just love reading about the HP universe. Unfortunately it's not going to be that, but I don't have a clue what it could be. I sort of doubt that it is a MMO video game. I'd be too busy with the Old Republic to play that anyway.
