So which do you prefer out of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings?

Lord of the Rings, no contest in books or films. LOTR is just epic, whereas Harry Potter is just an annoying teenager waving a wooden stick around.
While Potter can be an entertaining diversion sometimes, Lord of the Rings is a literary classic and a very good adaptation on film. Lord of the Rings by a considerable margin.
Potter novels are far better than Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkein didn't know how to frame decent plots, he made up his own story as he wrote them, but his books are still considered literary classics because of the sheer amount of fantasy elements cleverly woven into an epic story.
is that why they were singing for agessss at the begining?Potter novels are far better than Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkein didn't know how to frame decent plots, he made up his own story as he wrote them, but his books are still considered literary classics because of the sheer amount of fantasy elements cleverly woven into an epic story.

What has that got to do with anything :?
I haven't read the books but this shouldn't really be a comparison. super_mario_128It's not a comparison, its an opinion of which you prefer. I could ask you if you prefered ice cream over pizza. Both very different but you would still favour one over the other, girlfriend.
I'll let you guess my answer

No, this is Lord of the Rings:
I agree, there were no lions in lord of the rings. Perhaps hes thinking of Narniapete_merlin
I know there are no lions in LotR silly goose. I was just using cats as an example to show how LotR is way better than Harry Potter.
LOTR completely obliterates Harry Potter in both books and movies.
Harry Potter is about kids, who for some unknown arbitrary reason, are so amazing at magic they can take on adults who have had years and years of experience.
LOTR has an elf that can shoot three arrows from his bow at the same time. ;)
How is this even a question, Lord of the Rings destroys Harry Potter. LOTR is epic, Potter is just fun.
Side note: Why the hell hasn't anybody shot Voldemort yet? Seriously, I doubt he could cast a spell fast enough to stop a bullet, so why not just take him out like that?
