Happened to me when I was a wee little lad. All they took was my moms jewelry.

Yeah, when I was younger some thieves broke into our apartment. They stole a lot of things but from me, a portable CD player and a Razor Scooter . . . ah the nostalgia.
Yes. It was fairly common in my neighborhood. Typically it was high school kids that needed drug money. I hope they freeze to death (this was in Ottawa).
Luckilly nobody has tried. They wouldn't make it back out though if I was home.

I would put my money on them though. Maybe in a 1v1 situation you do fine, but imagine a group of 4 armed men inside your house. Would you still fight back, or simply give up on your material needs?
Yup, my original NES, our 27" TV, and our VCR, stuffed them all in a couch cushion cover, one of our Dachshunds was missing too so we thought they had dognapped her, turns out she got scared and ran out of the gate the thieves left open on their way in. Dachshunds don't make good guard dogs, which is why my next dog will be a rhodesian ridgeback :D
no and if even they even tried i'd have my .22 ready

Pistol or rifle? I plan on getting a Kimber 1911 soon, nothing stops thieves like 45ACP's :D
No, I have a life size cutout of Kimbo Slice in my window0Tyler0
Yep, in either 2004 or 2005. They grabbed some of our travel bags and took around 150 dvds, my PS2, GC and Xbox along with all my games and one of my guitars (the not so good one, whew). Its a good thing insurance covered it all and i got a new library of games and dvds along with a better guitar, wohoo!
I have had my dorm room turned upside down by some motherf***ers.
My car has been broken into, but it's a soft-top, so I had the common sense to leave nothing in there.
When I was 10, my Parents house was broken into via window. My tv was left on, and there was a glass of soda sitting near it. The only thing stolen was my Game Gear. They didn't take my TV, they didn't take my consoles, they didn't take jewelry....They didnt even take any game gear games. Fail burglar was fail.
The last guys who tried to break in are six feet under. Seriously, Chris Barnes tried to steal my stereo
No, but I just got back from a party and my buddy told me that his laptop, 360, two textbooks, and router were stolen today.

A real thief would be able to steal right out of your bedroom, before you even noticed he was there.
I woke up about two weeks ago to the sound of someone trying to pick the lock on my front door. I got into a fight with my gf the previous night and was sleeping on the couch. Otherwise, I don't think I would have heard it.
Another thing I had in my favor is that the deadbolt on the door is rusted, and is hard to open even if you have a key.
While the burglar was struggling to pick the lock, I quickly ran and grabbed my pistol and ran back to the door. I screamed "get the f&*% away from the door. I have a gun and I'm going to shoot you if you don't stop immediately."
The sound stopped and I could hear someone running away outside.
I was prepared to shoot the guy if he managed to pick the lock.
I'm thinking of picking up something bigger, maybe a 12 gauge shotgun, in case anything like this happens again.
