Has anyone ever had an ear infection?

or a clogged ear, i mean with earwax? because i have i feeling i just have a lot of wax, but when i told her that i can hear better when i chew, she said it was an ear infection.

so what's the difference? thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure your ear drum is swollen then. It's possible that your ear is actually blocked on the inside of your head, close to your sinuses and such. Get the doctor to look at it. If your ear drum is pushed out then you have a bunch of fluid and puss blocked behind it.

One of my ears have a burst ear drum. Gets painful occasionally and makes it hard to hear sometimes.

yeah, i guess the real answers are pretty disgusting, but hey, it's better than going deaf. But i haven't cleaned out my ears in over a year (last time the doctor got the stuff out) and i have managed to get some earwax out with my finger. I don't feel any pain at all; just a "stuffed" or "full" feeling in my ear.

anyway, thanks! i'll consider the infection thing again.

i had ear problems all the time till about 5 years ago

i had tubes put in...an infection atleast once a year...always had to get wax taken out.....it stunk
