Well I ordered a book from B&N Saturday and it went through perfectly. Well I've been waiting all day to recieve my package from UPS so I just gave up on hoping for it. Should I wait till tomorrow to see if it comes?

It's not going to come tomorrow if it didn't come today.

Should've went FedEX. They delivered to us bright and early this morning.

No it's not this. I understand that it could come late. It's also the way customer service handled it when I called them

Yes. They dropped my $800 CPU that I ordered from Newegg. The case that held the CPU was scratched up, bent, and damaged. The CPU itself still ended up working, but it made me so angry.

Probably has something to do with the massive snow storm hitting the middle of the country?

I wish I could have used them but it wouldn't let me choose FedEx. This book better be worth it

UPS is flakey on what they will leave on the doorstep without a sig and what they won't. It seems like potluck. Some items they will just ditch and others they will make you travel to the UPS depot for collection, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Some items require a sig, but they don't seem to think so, others don't, but they won't take the risk. I suspect it is up to newbee drivers who just don't understand the rules.

It'll probably get to you next week. Really, I haven't had much trouble with UPS, though I hate that they sometimes deliver at ridiculous hours. I much prefer FedEx and USPS.

At my home, we'll only use UPS. If non of us are here, they'll stick it in the garage so that it doesn't sit out exposed to the elements. When we do see them, they're always polite. We never use FedEx because the service is terrible. The last time we used them, the item that we ordered never showed up. They said they put it in the garage, but it was not there. So, the company from which we ordered was cool enough to send another item to replace it via UPS.
