Basically what "Darkside of the Rainbow" is, is the album by Pink Floyd (Darkside of the Moon) playing while "The Wizard of Oz" is running on mute.

The 2 are supposed to sync up really well and are described as working in perfect harmony with eachother. I was always interested in seeing it and wonder what other people think.

Does the album run on a loop? The Wizard of Oz is like a 2.5 hour movie and Darkside of the Moon is only like 40 minutes long. So after Eclipse do they start back at Speak to me on a continuous loop?

Yeah it's amazing how it works, you are supposed to play it at a certain time or something, there was this big website dedicated too it, and it gave you instructions on how to start it off.

so is it just the album on a consecutive loop? playing immediately over again as soon as the last track is done?

We had the album on repeat when we watched it a few years ago, but the second time didn't work nearly as well. You can just watch it on youtube and not have to worry about syncing. Money is the best part of the whole thing:)

it totally works, start it at about the first lion roar from the mgm thingy, and eclipes' ending and speak to me's begging are very similar so if you pause the movie and play the album again its like it loops, its really trippy also, echoes, from meddle sinks up almost perfectly to the jupiter and beyond the infinite scene from 2001: a space odyssey

I saw it in college but I was on drugs so it's not really fair to say it's worth watching sober.

Yeah, the 3rd act in 2001: A Space Oddyssey and Echoes sync very well, and I believe they even said that they were disappointed they didn't do the soundtrack for it. So it makes sense that it might have been planned to be synced to it, considering Echoes was made after the movie came out.
