Has anyone seen their intelligence grow through reviews/forum posting?

I certainly have. But my situation may be different. I first made this account as perhaps a 7th or 8th grader. Right now, im a 12th grade senior. Some of you may be around their 20's. Anyways though, as I look back at my past reviews from that time period, I tell myself: "Damn....Was I really that dumb?" Lack of puncuation, consistency, terrible grammar, and the list goes on. I sound like your typical know nothing internet lurker that has no idea what he's talking about. For example, those people that make the title of their threads like "where u go to find the strongest sword?" or "help me pls I cant beat this !!!!!!" followed by a spoiler. Some people like me back then didn't know what a "spoiler alert" was so..

Yes... I would not wish the pain of reading anything I wrote from 2008 and earlier on anyone.

No, but looking back at the first time I showed interest in the internet by making a youtube account back on 2008, I've matured greatly since then.

It did help me improve my English VASTLY.

Its helped me, i've seen improvement in writing papers it seems easier.

I don't think my intelligence has improved, but it has been good practice for grammar and what not, especially since I don't have to take any more classes involving writing anymore.

Yes my dear boy, I feel like my intelligence level is at 33, far bayond the av-er-age bear.

I think the people on these boards are generally more educated and intelligent than the people around me, so yes I suppose so. The real-life people around me are a bunch of no0b posters, ban-dodgers, and flame-shield carriers.

About comic books maybe..

I made my first account about 6 years ago, and yes.

I met a lot of people on forumsand therefore read different outlooks on life.

I'd say what I read actually made me a lot more tolerant towards other kinds of people, and it definitely altered my standings politically and morally, to at least some extent.

I've certainly become more worldly because of this site. It may not all be for the better, but I am now smarterer than I was before I joined GS!

Not me. Being here brings down my intelligence. Heck. Going back to college and being around college students seem to be bringing it down too.:lol: I don't care. He He.

Well forums have taught me a great deal about people and more importantly about different view points, ideas, interests etc. I think one of the greatest things about forums is just being able to disscus your thoughts with people from all over the world, you can have some interesting, thought provoking disscusions and learn a great deal about yourself and others from them.
