Has the world gotten too lazy? My grandma today said Find the remote now! and walkeed back to her room and said I'm not gonna turn down the TV while getting up to the TV! I need the remote! I understand for really old people but, she isn't really old! In the future everyone will rely on robots to get tgem every need they want. Everyone will just get over weight and die quicker instead of living longer. Another current thing is the automatic vacumms. While people turn on those little robots that vacum everything they sit on the couch and watch tv and eat! In the future they'll be an automatic lawn mower probably! Now do you guys think the world is getting to lazy? discuss.

Sure. Western culture is inherently vicarious now. We substitute video games and movies for real adventure. We settle for less because we've grown accustomed to less. We think technology has brought us together, but it's driven us apart.

No america has gotten lazy. We dont even know the bull**** lies our government passes by us. Foreign countries do though, thats why they hate us. We are blind to the lies. Instead we just sit back and waste our time.

Pretty much. In poor countries people have to work the land, not just sit around in some cubicle waiting for a call.

I feel like in order to fully prove your point, we should shove you in the wilderness and force you to fend for yourself for 30 days. Or, to make things more convenient, shove you in a cage with rabid dogs for five minutes.

Yeah, **** off and find my goddamned remote.

I would rather go in the wilderness... According to the average I'm 30 pounds under weight and am really fit, take Tae Kwon Doe, and play football (3rd fastest this season^^)

Nope, my cosin doesn't need a remote because he has a house servant for it. She even bathed him when he is like10 years or older. It the future, those house servants are just out of jobs, people are still lazy.magicalclick
This statement really made no sense, from a logically consistent standpoint. Please explain in greater detail (or at least explain better).

Let's also not forget people who go on welfare who don't really need it. And people who want to have nice, expensive, things but not work any harder for them. So they vote new laws that people who work harder and get payed more should just give their money to lazy greedy people who work less. I freaking hate democrats. If you have a crappy job with crappy but you don't have any disabilities or troubles that stop you from going to collage it's your own damn fault. (Of course if you went to collage, you degree failed you, and now you can't pay it off... I can understand that.)

there are already automatic lawnmowers around i thhink there are robotic mops too, the idea is to just program them to clean every day while you're at work

The human race will always strive to do the least work to get the most in return, we've always been this lazy

Right, so why are there so many obese people over here?

Because too many damn parents are giving their kids f****** McDonalds, every single week and dont know how to cook for them and make them a good meal or dinner. Obese people, if they feel that they are obese then go out and do some damn exercise isntead of blaming the world for being like that, when it clearly is their own fault for not taking care of themselves.

Exactly, people would much rather be able to sit at home and recieve welfare than actually work. Government needs to stop paying people to fail, that's why we have many problems in America these days.

Wow, I never think of bears in the wilderness, good old boring, safe England :) here, it wouldn't be much of a problem staying in the wilderness, in fact you're probably more likely to find that you have broken some stupid law or trespassed somewhere than end up in a run in with a wild animal. Although I hear badgers can be viscious, so you'd have to watch out for them.
