No. Not really. They've changed their sound quite a few times, but they haven't gone downhill.

yeah, a little, but they seem to be working their way back up.

edit: Megadeth, btw, United Abominations was awesome, except for "A Tout Le Monde (Set Me Free)"

It won't be shoegaze, though, most likely.

Had you asked me this question back in 2005, I would have said, alittle. With_Teeth in my opinion was alittle sub-par for Nine Inch Nails. But this year Year Zero was released and I can gladly say that Trent is back on form.

An im pissed that flea is taking a break from the band to teach music and he might not return.

I hope it will be.....Hopefully it will be another Loveless :) but I'm sure whatever they release, it'll be nothing short of amazing

nine inch nails has matured, not gone down hill. reznor is no longer so self-absored. listen to their latest album, Year Zero, if you are a Nails fan. it rules, and it's very catchy.

i was a really big fan right after the Downward Spiral (one of my favorite albums of all-time), and lately I've been getting into them a lot again. i still have to buy With Teeth, but from the songs on Beside You in Time (the live dvd), it sounds really well-composed (as usual) and hooky. i love this band so much.

In my opinion, no. But others will say that after the vocalist change they went downhill. I disagree with those people.

I wasn't a fan til The Perfect Drug... I was only 9 when The Downward Spiral came out... and I didn't really get into music til I was 12... in 1997... hence The Perfect Drug. And then I was hooked. And now I'm an obsessive weirdo :)

I still believe I am the Biggest NIN fan on OT...

My favorite band has only released two albums, and one of them is a remake of the singer's old band's first album. I'll wait until their new album comes out this fall before I say they've gone down hill.

Nahh, it's hard for bands that are broken up to go downhill.

Elliott Smith seemed to go downhill though. Figure 8 was alright, and Basement was only good, while XO was great, and Either/Or was superb.

Although Metallica isn't my all time favorite band, I'd say, yes, yes they have. However, that won't keep me from listening to their music. Plus, I'm anticipating their next album.

what are eveyones favorite lyrics of a song

rhcp_Nirvana

Anothers hope, anothers game
Anothers loss, anothers gain
Anothers lies, anothers truth
Anothers doubt, anothers proof
Anothers left, anothers right
Anothers peace, anothers fight
Anothers name, anothers aim
Anothers fall, anothers fame
Anothers pride, anothers shame
Anothers love, anothers pain
Anothers hope, anothers game
Anothers loss, anothers gain
Anothers lies, anothers truth
Anothers doubt, anothers proof
Anothers left, anothers right
Anothers peace, anothers fight

Marx had an idea from the confusion of his head
Then there were a thousand more waiting to be led
The books are sold, the quotes are bought
You learn them well and then you're caught

Anothers left, anothers right
Anothers peace, anothers fight

Mussolini had ideas from the confusion of his heart
Then there were a thousand more waiting to play their part
The stage was set, the costumes worn
And another empire of destruction born

Anothers name, anothers aim
Anothers fall, anothers fame

Jung had an idea from the confusion of his dream
Then there were a thousand more waiting to be seen
You're not yourself, the theory says
But I can help, your complex pays

Anothers hope, anothers game
Anothers loss, anothers gain

Satre had an idea from the confusion of his brain
Then there were a thousand more indulging in his pain
Revelling in isolation and existential choice
Can you truly be alone when you use anothers voice?

Anothers lies, anothers truth
Anothers doubt, anothers proof

The idea born in someones mind
Is nurtured by a thousand blind
Anonymous beings, vacuous souls
Do you fear the confusion, your lack of control?
You lift your arm to write a name
So caught up in the identity game
Who do you see? Who do you watch?
Who's your leader? Which is your flock?
Who do you watch? Who do you watch?
Who's your leader? Which is your flock?

Einstein had an idea from the confusion of his knowledge
Then there were a thousand more turning to advantage
They realised that their god was dead
So they reclaimed power through the bomb instead
Anothers code, anothers brain
They'll shower us all in deadly rain

Jesus had an idea from the confusion of his soul
Then there were a thousand more waiting to take control
The guilt is sold, forgiveness bought
The cross is there as your reward
Anothers love, anothers pain
Anothers pride, anothers shame
Do you watch at a distance from the side you have chosen?
Whose answers serve you best? Who'll save you from confusion?
Who will leave you an exit and a comfortable cover
Who will take you oh so near the edge, but never drop you over?
Who do you watch
--------------------------------

Ten points if you can guess who the song is by. Another twenty points if you can tell me how awesome it is of a song.

what are eveyones favorite lyrics of a song

rhcp_Nirvana

Riverof Deceitby Mad Season

My pain is self-chosen
At least, so The Prophet says
I could either burn
Or cut off my pride and buy some time
A head full of lies is the weight, tied to my waist

The River of Deceit pulls down, oh oh
The only direction we flow is down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down

My pain is self-chosen
At least I believe it to be
I could either drown
Or pull off my skin and swim to shore
Now I can grow a beautiful shell for all to see

The River of Deceit pulls down, yeah
The only direction we flow is down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down

The pain is self-chosen, yeah
Our pain is self-chosen

Everyone's saying there favorite bands have gone downhill, but they don't say what the band is.
