I don't mean to contribute to all the girl threads on OT but this one has been on my mind.

Yes, I have. MineI based purely on the fact that she has a boyfriend and there is no sign that they will break up soon. Just wish she knew what he was like when she wasn't around him. And the whole braces and glasses thing on.... isn't a good combo. (I am talking about me with the last statement)

I've basically have been with every girl I've wanted to, besides one.

I liked her the most out of all of those girls too by far. I'm still good friends with her, but she doesn't want to be in a relationship, apparently...

Edit: Also, I think she's the only girl that I am sexually attracted to, and I actually enjoy talking to for hours.

Yeah. We had been really good friends for a while, and I guess I had kind of gotten it in my head that I didn't actually need to ask her out just because the relationship was implied by the way we were with each other.

Then one day like a year later I found out that some other guy asked her out and she said yes. We're still friends though, and I think that if I were to actually ask her out, she'd say yes. I don't exactly like the dude that she's with, but I don't hate him enough to be a dick and try to snatch his girl from him. So yeah, I kicked myself a few times and moved on.

Reading back through that, it sounds so cliched that I can hardly believe it's my life.:P

My story is not as sad as some. We are friends, and I am about 2 steps from being head-over-heels. But she has no idea, and I will not say anything because I value her friendship more than I would any other type of relationship. Also, I know I am not her type so telling her would likely mean that our friendship would dissolve.

But, she is beautiful. And I know that we would never be compatible in a serious relationship but we make great friends.....weird.

Yes, and the only reason i'm not actually dating her (she really likes me, and i like her too) is because she lives over 2 hours away, and at 15 years of age, that isnt actually convenient..GTR2addict

Yes. We both knew my feelings, but she didn't want it to progress past a relatively close friendship. This was all throughout high school.

Now that I'm in college, there's someone else who is, at this point, a pretty good friend of mine, but she is attached, and, even when she becomes unattached, there's another guy who has far better chances than me anyway.

I assumed the topic title meant you actually went out with the girl and later broke up, but going by some responses it's the typical Gamespot "I think I'm in love because I have a crush, but she doesn't like me, and never did, which isn't really surprising, but I still say I'm in love and that she loves me and have delusional dreams" syndrome."

Anyway, I had a girl, but... eh, it didn't work between us for various reasons. Like someone else said it was better wanting to be with her than actually being with her.

But my true love is another messed up and really stupid matter, but it applies to the topic, and is different to the example above (I loved this girl and loved being with her) but it was not a good time in either of our lives to be falling in love and we were not in the best of circumstances. *Sigh* Time may heal all wounds, but it leaves a hideous scar behind reminding you every day...

Yep. There are two things you can do. Either one, realize that you're going to probably have to wait a really long time and then decide that you're better off looking for someone else. Or, you realize that you're going to have to wait a really long time and then decide to become better friends with her so that in the event of a breakup, you can be there for her, console her, and then after about a month or two after the breakup, you can attempt to make a move.remmbermytitans

Oh, many times. But then I realized I was way too ugly for the ladies so I literally just gave up.

I have since I've been interested in girls, though I've just given up, I'm entirely apathetic towards social situations.

Yup, I am in love with a good friend of mine, but I know she doesn't love me back (not romantically at least) I actually did tell her that I love her when I saw her yesterday, but I made it sound like a friend type love.

It doesn't help that I dated her twin sister way back in highschool.

Welcome to life TC, most people won't admit it but they have settled. Not to say there are not happy about who they are with now, but most people have a person they really want in their life that is not mutually interested.

Yes, I remebera girl I fancied very much but I can't be with her because she's dead. Died in her sleep during a house fire. This was many years ago when we were both 16.
