Wat bout the guys wife did he kill her?

That's left for the viewer to decide. Did she win the coin flip? Did she even make a call?

well
him looking at his boots at the end leads us to believe he was checking them for blood, earlier in the film he was caustious not to get blood on his boots
You not only replaced "You" with "U" in the topic title but you also got the movie's name wrong....whatever.
Anyway, if you didn't know it is based on a book by Cormac McCarthy one of my favorite authors. One of the books main themes is chance and luck, there is no logic really to the life-deciding cointoss because the world doesn't make sense anymore. The sheriff is a good guy, and he is a good detective too but when faced when such an abomination that would kill based on a 50/50 chance, he is confused and lost.
Life doesn't always make sense is basically what I derived from the film
Thus, there is no country for old men like the sheriff
He totally killed that woman. He's a killer, that's his role.Jandurin
He didn't think of himself as a killer. He thought of himself more like an administer of fate.
Yeah, but he didn't pick his character, his writer did. And they made him a killer. You think "Death" doesn't think of himself as a killer? Just fate's tool?He didn't think of himself as a killer. He thought of himself more like an administer of fate.

but the character didnt think of himself as a mindless killer, he killed only those who interfered with his "mission" and for some he would let fate decide whether they lived or died.

yes, and he viewed it as a job and nothing else, and people who interfered with him doing this job or made it tough he would kill. Like Woody Harrelsons character says, even if you give him the lost money he will still kill you for making getting the money an inconvenience to him.
Yeah, it was a great film. Only bettered last year by There Will Be Blood and The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.Samwel_X
In no way was Assassination or There will be Blood better than No Country... Assassination and Blood each had almost no plot and bored me to tears(though the acting and cinematography was brilliant in both films)

This is the end.... the mexicans caught up with Lou ellen and killed him but could not find the money so they took off....then Anton came back later that night and found the money that was inside the vent(thats why tommy lee jones came back that night and notice the vent open) then Anton went back and killed Lou ellens wife cause hes crazy.... and the car wreck at the end is karma i guess??? and what tommy lee talk about in his dream open to interpretation

he didnt kill her because he just wanted to, he did it because he made a promise to Moss that he would. We view it as crazy but its different to him.

which made him such a great villian, a killer with his own set of principles, always follows up with his promises and kills those who interfere with is job. He doesnt even see what he does as cold blooded murder because to him it only right, they got in the way of his mission.

yeah man... he is one of the best villians in a movie in a while... well that movie was the best one in a while
Yes and it's great, people who say it's boring is obiously the same people who like Transformers and Die Hard 4...ikwalI thought No Country was good, hated Transformers, but thought Die Hard 4 was good, except that they changed him from an everyday cop to a superhero :?

Both were superior. Particularly There Will Be Blood. Everything about There Will Be Blood was near perfect.
Everything about There Will Be Blood was near perfect.Samwel_XDoes near perfect = good? I haven't actually seen it, yet. But... movies can nail it technically and still be failures..

In this case yes, it does mean good. Best film I've seen in years.

It has no ending. It's a technique referred to as the "Lady or the Tiger" approach, from an old classic short story that also HAD NO ENDING. It doesn't work, the movie was not all it was hyped up to be.
Well umm the bad guy winz thats what heppens !!!!!!!! Hewkii
he broke his arm, and (I'm assuming) the mexicans get the money. not exactly a win in my book.
He didn't get killed or go to jail. :Pit's pretty good, real violent, but i didn't like the ending.shoeman12Well, I can handle non-endings. There's this Johnny Depp movie that technically doesn't have an ending, but I really like it. The Ninth Gate. My friend hates me for saying it was good because it "didn't end" in his opinion.
