I once felt incredibly stupid for buying a Dummies book!

Mainly when I bought 2 boxes of twinkies. As a cashier, I don't want to make others feel uncomfortable. Except when I sold condoms to a guy.... that was awkward for both of usOblivionfan10I had a cool cashier who would joke around with people who bought condoms. Needless to say, he got fired over complaints
Nope. I remember one time I did go to the store for a girl I was dating at the time, and bought her tampons. The older woman in line behind me made a comment about how her husband never does anything like that for her. I think the cashier was embarassed, I just laughed and told the lady that I'm taken. I think that threw her off as well. But going into the store originally, I thought it would be an awkward situation.

I bought a very thick book on A+ certification, and I thought nothing of it until the cashier said "Have fun" in a very sarcastic tone.
Yeah.. Standing in the toys section at Wal-Mart was awkward when I was 16.. haha, thankfully I outgrew that. Freebird8877I'm 22 and I still wander up and down the toy aisles in stores. I'm always finding myself interested in the things kids play with these days. Makes me wonder what they're missing out on from when I was a kid and vice versa.

I never understood why a woman would need a guy to buy those kind of things for her.
I once bought some kanker sore/cold sore stuff and the wonderful checkout lady looked over the package and announced "Eew! I hate cold sores!" Why thank you for informing the whole line I have a cold sore!

[QUOTE="Dark_Knight6"]Well I guess she won't be surprised when you come out, then :lol:Brokeback Mountain a couple of weeks ago. I gave my mom the money and made her pay for it. :P

No, I guess not. :P It'll be a "Tell me something I don't know" kind of moment.

Once you rent out all kinds of adult film to people and you realize that you never remember them then it kind of makes the prospect of buying anything yourself that might be considered embarassing fairly minimal.

I never really got the reason behind it either. But I suppose when you're the one making a trip to the store, it's just another item to pick up and save a trip for later on.[QUOTE="Freebird8877"]I once bought a few candy bars, the cashier lady had to comment "you have quite the sweet tooth" I know how you feel :P The cashier started bagging mine and said: "Lot's of calories in here" She worked at the Hostess store, I don't see any vegetables there so what else do I buy Hostess has their own stores :o And you only managed to buy 2 boxes? :P[QUOTE="Oblivionfan10"]Mainly when I bought 2 boxes of twinkies. Yeah. Buying BMX XXX for my Gamecube about 3 years ago. I was trying to low profile it so no one will notice. I was actually curious about the title...:Ptocool340
Ahh! I forgot that I did the exact same thing for the same reason! I just couldn't help but feel curious but gosh did I feel silly after I played it for a while.

Made me feel dumb wasting a rental on it....Hostess has their own stores :o And you only managed to buy 2 boxes? :P There is one near me. And thats 2 boxes of Twinkies. I also bought: Suzie Q's, Zebra Cakes, and Nutty Bars That's awesome. Now I could seriously go for a Nutty Bar.[QUOTE="Freebird8877"][QUOTE="Oblivionfan10"] The cashier started bagging mine and said: "Lot's of calories in here" She worked at the Hostess store, I don't see any vegetables there so what else do I buyOblivionfan10
Yeah, but I'm pretty self conscious... Mainly when/if I buy video games because they usually have pretty retail girls at the counter and they just give you that look... Or maybe that's just me and not the product.
Another time, although I wasn't actually buying anything, I ended up in the womans underwear section of a department store. I was following my sister ad her boy friends who ditched me, and I was looking at a catalogue and lost track of them and I got some stares. :/
Oddly enough when i rush to the toy section and press all the buttons on the toys no one seems to care...
So I guess in short no, not until someone starts making me feel embarrased.
Yeah.. Standing in the toys section at Wal-Mart was awkward when I was 16.. haha, thankfully I outgrew that. Freebird8877I'm 21 and I still look to see if there are any cool new legos.
Buying condoms is awkward.
One thing I really want to do just to freak people out is go to Wal-Mart and buy a birth control test and a single coat hanger (Thank you xkcd)
I've rented several chick flick in my time. One time, I got 10 Things I Hate About You... that was interesting. He totally thought I was gay I know it. O_O
EDIT: it was to watch at a party with my now ex-girlfriend btw...
