Have you ever been mistook for a different race or ethnicity?

I've been mistook for Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage. In my special education class in tenth grade, one guy would always deny the fact that I'm Caucasian. A Somali girl in the class said I looked Puerto Rican. I have olive skin, dark brown eyes, and dark brown hair, so I guess it's not hugely surprising because olive skin tone and dark hair and eyes is widespread among many races. Native Americans, Middle Easterners, Latinos, Southeast Asians, and Caucasians can have the olive skin tone and dark hair and eyes.

I get mistaken for being Mexican/Spanish a LOT. I'm Black Irish/Sioux/German. Just have tan skin, dark dark brown hair, dark brown eyes.... yea...

Not me, but my son has. He's Amerasian, and people ask him if he's Hispanic, which makes him angry.

I doubt it. I'm white (Australian), and I don't sound American or European in any way, so I don't think people could mistake me.

Yes, some people think I am Hispanic, usually Puerto Rican, and I honestly don't have any Puerto Rican features at all...or Hispanic features in general for that matter.

When I'm on the phone I'm usually mistaken for an typical Australian person as I have a very Australian accent.

When people see me they think I'm Japanese while I'm really Chinese.

No, but I do get a lot of looks from Eastern Indian people, I'm black though, light, and my hair is more on the straight side. I don't know why I get so many looks from them. Some Salvadoran guys from my job once told me I look like a Jesus statue they had in Guatemala... And I told them, let's not touch on that.

yeah, i'm cypriot but in the neighborhood that i live heaps of people think i'm either arab or lebanese, it's pretty embarrassing

People keep thinking I'm Korean. I've had random Korean people coming up to me to speak Korean.

I get called Spanish or Mexican all the time. I'm really Italian. There's not many of us where I live, so I can see why.
