A large group of guys beat the s*** out of me once. I was with a group of mates. One of the guys said something derogatory towards us, and we were just going to ignore it and laugh it off. But a friend-of-a-friend who was with us decided to talk back to him. They didn't take kindly to that, and they beat the crap out of me and him.
My friends called the police. They didn't even bother to show up. Thanks, police. Thanks.
Always say they have a gun, the police...well, the SWAT team will arrive faster than you'd think. I got mugged once.A large group of guys beat the s*** out of me once. I was with a group of mates. I've had s*** stolen.
I took a women's studies c|ass for a diversity credit in colllege. There, I learned that some feminists believe if a women regrets sex after it happens, then she was raped. Under this point of view, I've woken up next to some regrets on a couple occasions. So...I was raped.
do they really believe that? so if they press charges what happens?I've had s*** stolen.

My car was stolen last Nov however i got it back a few days later so it was ok. It was on empty so they couldn't really drive it that far or do anything with it. Kind of a weird feeling driving it after I got it back though.
Myself? Nope.
In december 2010 my brother was the victim of a mugging by two guys who have a reputation for breaking into houses etc... you get the idea. These two took my brothers iphone 4 of him and out of pure luck the police were walking on the same street and the two guys were given months in jail.
The said part is they will do the same thing once released.

We were walking back from a gig in a small town near where I live. At about 11pm.
It's actually quite a nice town. Hardly notorious for this kind of thing. Just got unlucky one night. And there just happened to be this other guy with us who for some reason thought it would be a good idea to insult a large group of angry men.
Next time make sure you tell the cops that you are white. They will be there before you hang up the phone.A large group of guys beat the s*** out of me once. I was with a group of mates. Lol'd.
Our house got broken into twice, we had a sneaking suspicion who it was the first time and we actually caught him the second time around. He went off to jail for a bit after that.
Apart from that, I got semi-bashed when we went for a holiday to Bali when I was like 13. I got conned into going down to this back alley shop with this guy who was offering to sell shirts really cheap, then when I got there he hiked the price up by like $50 and got really aggressive when I refused to pay. I tried to leave and he punched me, then kicked me up the arse with his massive military boots. I was balling by that stage, but I explicitly remember making a very deliberate effort to ensure I grabbed my plastic bag full of copied PS1 games that I'd left on the counter while I was running out! I'd worked so hard to track down a copy of Harvest Moon on the PS, I wasn't going to just leave it there, lol.
I ended up running back to my family, and we were going to go to the cops, but the guy and his mates followed us (they were across the other side of the road, watching and trailing along behind us). He had a big commando knife thing on his belt, so we ultimately decided it was probably just best if we jumped in a taxi and legged it. It was probably lucky that didn't turn out a lot worse for me in hindsight...
That's about it for me :)
Almost. Was waiting on a train a early november morning when this guy with a hoodie came up to me and said " Give me your wallet." Quick thinking I replied with " Do you really want to rob a police trainee?" He ran off faster then anyone I've ever seen.TreflisLol... good thinking!
I got mugged once, and I was out numbered 3 to 1 so figured it'd be best to hand over my wallet although they only made off with $20 and an expired Blockbuster card. When I look back on that, I think it was me who got the last laugh seeing as they had gotten busted a few days later lol :P
Another time one of my friends got jumped by some punks downtown who were looking to start stuff over nothing, they were posted up in front of this liquor store and said my friend was wearing the wrong colors on the wrong side of town. He got a busted nose but other than that and a few bruises he was okay. I was actually amazed at how long it took the cops to show up though when we called but unfortunately we live in a society where pizza gets to your house before the police
Almost group of six people tried to mug my friend and I. Luckily I knew one of them from my class and he mentioned trying to turn his life around after that they told us to f*** off and they left. Only reason I didn't call the police was we were trespassing since we had climbed on top of a abandoned McDonald.
I guess a time where I broke the law was trying to play tag with a security guard he told me he would call the police for assault if I didn't stop playing games. He said something about me "assaulting" three others which was bullsh*t and one of the other security guards (He was not wearing a vest; I seen him before wearing one before) said I hit his brother and started to threaten me. Still don't think a light tap on a shirt which didn't even make contact with his body should be classified as assault.

 I'm going to use that one.
No, I've personally never been the victim of crime.

Brilliant.
People have tried to mug (rob) me on two occasions.
I got beaten up.
I didn't go to the police for either of them.
I had my Sirius satellite radio stolen from my car about 3 days after I installed it. I was very angry.
Why didn't you go to the police?People have tried to mug (rob) me on two occasions.

They set me up real good. We were supposedly watching each others backs, but all of a sudden they turned on me and sacrificed me.GazaAli
Not to make light of what sounds like a crap situation for you, but did they shout the name of any particular cosmic entity while doing so?
And I got mugged once. Three guys - fortunately my wallet was pretty much empty (they didn't even bother taking it), and they somehow missed the digital camera in my pocket. So that wasn't so bad.
Vandalism. Someone took their key and swiped the side of my car. Not just nick it, they made a huge cut from one end to the other.
[QUOTE="toast_burner"]Why didn't you go to the police? Not worth the hassle. The guys who tried to mug me were idiots so I got away completely unharmed.People have tried to mug (rob) me on two occasions.

When I got jumped it was a homophobic attack by the dad of a guy I was going out with and i didn't want to wreck his family any further
Got robbed twice in Atlanta, GA. First time was in 1997 before I went to work at McDonald's, a guy took my cash and ran, jumping into the back seat of a car and driving off. Second time was in 2003 two weeks after I returned from Iraq, was robbed at gunpoint that time. My buddy and I just finished watching Bad Boys 2 and a few minutes after we walked out of the theater a car pulled up to us asking for directions. They left, drove back saying they were still lost and then drove off again before coming back a third time and having the guy in the back seat jump out with a pistol in his hand. We're guessing they drove off twice first to make sure no cops were in the area.
Then in 2004 a company started repeatedly charging my credit card for about $80 a piece (can't remember how they got it in the first place) and I was out a few hundred dollars. The only reason they got me so many times was because I was in the Mojave Desert at the time with no Internet acces for three weeks straight. The company was somewhere in Australia from what my card statement said. Same thing happened in 2005 while I was in Iraq the second time, only that time it was some company claiming I bought some $400 plane tickets. I caught hell trying to dispute it considering that they wanted faxed letters stating that I didn't make the charges and considering my location a fax machine wasn't so easily available.
Of course, if I grew up in this generation instead of the last one I would have been a victim of a crime everytime I got into a fistfight. When I went to school in the 80s and 90s getting into a fight only meant a suspension from school. When I got to the 10th or 11th grade the principal got tired of the fights and said people who got into a fight were going to be expelled. Now, if you get into a fight in school the police are called and both participants are charged with a misdemeanor assault charge. Could never understand that one especially if you was defending yourself, guess the schools just want you to stand there and let the other guy pound on you until the police arrive.
I've been stabbed twice, once in the arm(from blocking), once in the leg. Shot at once, though I wasn't hit. Been robbed of all my earthly possesions three times, and various other small things. At the time all this went down 'full time criminal' was my job so things like this happen when you get involved in that kind of thing. I don't do that kind of thing anymore, I've been good now for years.
My home has been burglerized before. Wasn't home at the time, gone overnight. Came back the next morning to find my door wide open. Whoever did it must have only been interested in stuff they could pocket because they only took some cash (around $100) we had in a box on the table and they left everything else untouched.
