I signed up to donate blood for the Red Cross next week. This will be my first time giving blood, and I just wanted to know if any of you guys already have or are going to do it. If you have already done it, how did you feel after? Did you pass out? (I'm afraid I might pass out because I'm a really skinny kid)

Put it in a solution of sodium hydroxide, that should fix it.

i donate blood when my school hosts blood drives. i prefer paying for food in blood anyway. its cheaper.

Yes, I've donated. If you do pass out, it'll be from the needle; not from losing blood.

I use to but I have been deployed to a lot of different countries in the world and just visting them does not allow me to donate anymore.

I wish I could, but I had to pas this nuclear scan back when I got liver stones and the product they injected me makes me a no-go to donate. Sucks.

I was going to last week but I have had this slight cold I can't seem to shake. I am a registered organ donor. I think I am gonna volunteer at the blood bank.

I have once before. My mom has gotten into donating blood and I tagged along one time and gave some of my own. It wasnt a big deal, or hard to do and they give you stuff afterwords to re-energize yourself. But the entire time I was joking by saying: "So this is what it feels like to bleed to death." It didnt go over to well.

I felt tired/light headed afterwards. only lasted an hour though. they usually give you food or something to drink to make you feel better.

I tried once, however, became sick during just the testing stage, to see whether or not my blood was healthy. I blame it on my dislike of needles.

no, i would probably pass out cuz needles + me = not good. dont ever see myself ever doing it, i would not be in good shape afterwards, things like that bug me.
