You what I'm talking about. There's always a teacher everyone constantly steps on or acts extra rude to for no particular reason. For me, it's my vice-principal and my science teacher. They're both nice enough guys, but everyone seems to berate them with terrible behavior and insults. They get suspended of course, but still, it happens alot. My vice-principal is divorced with 2 kids, one of which plays for the worst basketball team in our league. People call him a creeper for no real reason other than he's friendly. My science teacher just happens to be new. Nice guy, good teacher. No one listened to him. When we review last year material, everyone acts as though he didn't teach a thing. Like it was his fault. Of course no one learned. No one shut up long enough for him to complete a sentence.

Do you know any teachers in your school that don't deserve the reputation they hold?

I had an old fat man that was my Algebra II teacher. Oh my God...

He could have had students arrested for what went on in that class. From verbal assault, to destruction of property, to terroristic threats, to physical abuse. I remember an occasion when the electricity went out and everyone ran to his desk and stabbed him with pencils.

I remember a lot of kids would torture this Math Teacher, Mr. Addis.

He seemed sad a lot, and eventually retired last year. We just learned he died from cancer 2 months ago. :(

My sophomore band teacher. Was a pretty cool guy, but new at the teaching thing. And many of the **** in band took advantage of this and made fun of him. I'm not sure why, but our band teacher took all the bull**** the guys thew at him. It got ugly too.

I mean, once a few of them grabbed the piano and two guys chased him around the band room while one of them played music on the piano. They also slammed his fingers on a door and destroyed 1000 of dollars worth of band equipment. They took the fire extinguisher out the last day of school and ruined the place. The teacher tried countless times to stop em, but they just refused to. Lotta drama that year...

He was fired.

Yeah, I thought it was funny at the time, since I wasn't one of the kids actually attacking him. I still feel bad about how he was treated.

In 8th grade I had a tech ed teacher named Mr. Lacerda that was really nerdy. He rode a motor scooter to school every day and also biked on a regular bicycle around town wearing a tight spandex suit. He stuttered really bad and so because of these things people made fun of him but he wasnt that bad so I felt bad. Then these kids used to talk to him about bike riding becuase they thought it was funny and he finally figured out they just were making fun of him and he told them "you guys aren't my friends, your just making fun of me!" The final thing was when this kid John pulled a prank on him and hid adult diapers under his desk and then in the middle of class went under his desk and pulled them out and said "Hey, what are these, Mr. LaStutter?" So he went home crying or something... i just felt really bad for the guy.

We had this one teacher, she looked like a Gerbil with a neckbrace. Kids would turn off the lights and throw desks and various school supplies at her. Sometimes they would even set paper on fire and throw flaming paper calls at her. It was a really incredible thing to witness. She was horrible, i didnt feel sorry for her though.

I can't remember how many times the cops had to come over and calm things down. And no one admited to destroying the equpment. People just pointed fingers thought a few of us know who it was. I'm not sure why no one said anything.

 I think one of them served time though; he was a bad kid.

A teacher I had that fits the bill was named Dr. J (yes he wanted us to call him by one letter). Anyway, supposedly he had formerly worked for Pfizer as a proofreader of the clinical trial reports and had a lot of stock options that made him rather wealthy so he retired to teach high school physics. Anyway, the guy was a little physically deformed. His back arched inward more than it should and his legs were a bit uneven so he waddled back and forth when he walked. He also had a lazy eye, was overweight, and smelled terrible.

What made it worse was that he had a lot of catchphrases that didn't make sense and he said them every class. Since he was so predictable someone made a Bingo card and distributed different copies to everyone in class and we would play bingo everyday based on his catchphrases. At one point somone actually stood up and yelled BINGO in class. Another time before class started one student decided it would be funny to hide all the chalkboard erasers. Then about 5 minutes into class the teacher realized what had happened and got really angry. It was also pretty common for students to steal copies of the quizzes from an earlier class and sell them to our later class. There were a lot of little things that made me feel bad for him.

I hated those kids who thought being rude to a teacher was badass. Im always up for a laugh but not when it comes at the expense of a teacher. Luckily, in my school, not even the other kids put up with the class clowns, which was fantastic.

unless they deserve it (like my geometry teacher, shes a total b**** to everyone, seriously no one likes her, not even administration) then, it is kinda f-ed up, fortunatly, though, most of the teachers at my school will screw around with students, too, so it hardly ever gets serious

There's like 3 Nam vets at my school. My math teacher, Mr. Vining was in Vietnam. He's a really nice guy but all the kids hate him because they get in trouble for always talking. How could anyone treat a Vietnam veteran like that?

Jeez you guys have some messed up kids at your schools :?

Oh and my 6th grade science teacher, Mr. B was new at teaching and no one listened to him, they'd shout and talk while he was teaching and one day he just broke down and started crying.

I kind of feel sorry for one of my engineering professors. It's his first semester teaching a lecture class, and there's this one guy that constantly makes fun of the professor to himself. Now he's nowhere near the best teacher ever, but give him a break. After a few semesters, I think he'll be pretty solid because he really knows the material. I also kind of felt sorry for my high school Japanese Sensei. Pretty much everyone loved her, so there were no problems there, but I felt sorry for how much she worked. She officially only had a part time job at my school, so she also taught some night classes to make ends meet. Living in the bay area didn't help things either. I really wish there was a system that allowed the students to grade teachers and affect their pay. Sensei deserved a MUCH higher salary based on how hard she worked compared to a large majority of the teachers there. She really cared about her students.

That's terrible. One teacher in middle school admitted that she was lesbian towards the end of the year. She left the year after, but no one that I recall gave her any problems. Many students and faculty gave her nothing but support. This is a middle a school in San Francisco though, so the tolerance level is a little higher lol.

My 10th grade bio teacher. The kids in the class walked all over him. He ended up only teaching for a year before he was fired. At least he was pretty down to earth.

Only once. It was with my English teacher (a genuinely nice guy, and everyone loves this guy). Anyways, it was during class and he was just going around passing back papers when 2 jerks were making fun of him, he went up to them and said, "are you making fun of me?" (this guy never sounds mad about anything, but a lot of people think he is a homosexual). I just felt really bad for him because he is my favorite teacher in a long long time, and I really wanted to kick those guys' asses.

I tried not to laugh but that's hilarious even though it's mean. Good thing you underlined that for me, outbreak, or I would've never seen that.

But yeah, Not many people do that in my school because usually most kids know when to stop fooling around and where the invisible line is.
