Have you ever gotten a wart(s)

If so, how long did it take to remove it? Did you remove it yourself or did you go to the doctor? This may sound gross, but I've got about 3 warts on my finger. I've had them since I was about 3 years old. I even tried to remove them but they didn't go away. They are't huge. It's a cone wart which goes in deep.

I am pretty sure many of you have gotten warts before or at least just got one.

edit: I've used the freezing stuff before by a doctor (about 6 times) On the methods I've tried didn't work.

I have one on my left index finger. I've been severely mistreating it, I've cut it off with scissors, knife, I've burnt it with a hotplate, and tried the duct tape method, now I've given up. It's there to stay.

Once you have the warts virus you can never get rid of it. My brother gets warts on his feet and sometimes on his hands. I'm surprised I haven't gotten them from him because he isn't very careful about them and they are contagious.

Edit: And before someone says something about this, I mean that you can never get rid of the virus that causes warts, but you can get rid of the warts themselves, though since you now have the virus they can pop up at any time.
